| ITV would be the death knell of Rugby League on terrestrial tv.
The main problem ultimately is that we are a REGIONAL sport on REGIONAL tv.....Most regional tv is amateurish in general and the Super League show is a prime example of this.
For a good idea of what we should look like, take a look at that Football League highlights show on BBC1 on a Saturday night after MOTD.....Simple, well-presented, nicely analysed, I actually prefer it to the of Lineker, Hansen and co before it.
Unfortunately, until the beeb take us seriously as a national sport, then we will continue looking like funny Northerners....However, I'd go with nothing rather than GranadaTV....

| ITV...as Alan Partridge once said "you couldn't present a cat"
I wouldn't trust ITV to do owt. Amateurs, is to good a word for them
Channel 4. Well their jewel in their sporting crown (horse racing) is getting less and less coverage in the last 4 years, so I can't see them breaking their neck for our sport.
Channel 5.....no stop it, please. This is comedy now
ESPN. If we go to them, it'll be a BIG backwards step. The sports they allready have (footy & 3 point game) , allready have major presences on other channels. If RFL gave them coverage of our game, it's more audience figures lost to a minority channel
Sky, allready do a decent job, and having heard it from Eddie Hemmings himself, SKY aren't that interested in taking the CCup
Lets face it, it pains me to say it, but we NEED the Beeb. SERIOUSLY. We're never going to get more people into our game (watching or playing) without them.
The Beeb (on the whole, and have done for 50+ years) do sports well.
Yes, the treatment of our sport by them, is, at times, shambolic. BUT, without them, we're goosed.

Do give over. Whether we're on the Beeb or ITV, rlfans would still watch it, it's only a few channels apart. The only thing that's good about the Beeb is the online coverage. Not saying they do a good job, their reporting for RL is poor, but their website is excellent and simplicity of use and radio links are good advantages.
I'd actually like to see ESPN get it, purely because I feel an American influence over RL could be positive.

| i love ITV's football coverage. Listening to 2 blokes sacked by Championship Side Middlesbrough trying to tell "The Special One" Where his tactics are poor is great telly. At least Shearer, Hansen, Lawrinson & Dixon are all champions & born winners where as Andy Townsend & Gareth Southgate won a League cup once. If ITV got Super League they would probably have Matt Rodwell hosting with Dallas Meade & Steve Georgiallis as the "Experts"

| Their International coverage is just as bad. Lets bring out the biggest Ghana fan in the world "Marcel Desailly" He loves Ghana that much that despite being born there, he plays 100 plus time for "France". ITV is just reality TV garbage, Soaps & crap sport coverage. Only Celeb Juice & Harry Hill worth watching on all 4 ITV channels

Now, you've either missed off The Only Was Is Essex, and we can all make a mistake, or you're not on.

| Football's coverage is, in general, poor. Pundits seem to get on because of their accents and not because of their ability to analyze. The best football coverage of all is on Sky, with the Spanish football coverage. Second best is ITV's champions league highlights, although it has that mug Townsend, it at least has Marcotti on there, who is a cut above any pundit in the country. In terms of general sport programs, ESPN is good, I like press pass and I feel PTI could eventually progress into a decent show.
The BBC is awful, every single year we moan about how poor the coverage is. Whether it's the embarrassing state of the commentary, or the woeful SL show, it really does the game no favours.

| If their football coverage is anything to go by, no. I'll be watching the FA and Champions League Finals on ESPN and Sky to avoid their coverage.

| err, before complaining about ITV football pundits, let's get our own house in order with Eddeh and Stevo, plus the child in a man's body Phil Clarke. Brian Carney, Bill Arthur and Jon Wells are the only onces with any common sense.
Final note - Adrian Chiles or whatever is name is.. cock end.

| Let's wait and see if the BBC can do a better job than they have done. Their live Cup coverage has improved massively in recent years so I'm sure they could do a better job that the Super League Show - which as far as I know is kept going because of the enthusiasm of Harry Gration and the team that make it.
Maybe the Beeb's move to Salford's Media City will help? They might start taking more of interest in things that happen on their doorstep.

| I don't see that it has already been mentioned but why not have the RFL or Super league present their own online version?
