Oh I won't deny i'm bitter,too right.
What pi55es me off is the way he has conducted himself throughout this whole saga.
The game on friday night against Wire more or less confirmed it for me.

Nothing he said it technically wrong. But it's very premature. If you are leaving one sport to move to another, the time to make comparisons is once you've experienced the new sport. The whole thing, like his handling of his contract negotiations has just been very disrespectful to Saints. He's been very poorly advised in how he has handled it IMO. The next thing he'll do shortly is go and visit Bath to find his house etc and end up being papped by their media team holding or wearing a Bath shirt whilst still contracted to Saints like Chris Ashton did.
The interview is on a prime time on ITV, who own rights to the Union coverage. If it were the other way round, him moving to League from Union, do you think that interview would have happened? He's been given rehed comments to make, which whilst not 'wrong' aren't necessary and are said at the wrong time. The time to make those comments is after making his try scoring debut for England in front of 80,000 at Twickenham.
He'll better have thick skin on Friday if anyone bothers to turn up.

| Saddened, for once I agree with you. I think that throughout the entire affair he has been extremely disrepspectful to his current employers. He's shouting the praises of RU whilst still employed by a Rugby League club. I wonder what his attitude will be if he comes back with his tail between his legs in 18 months time.

Seems awful similiar to Chris ashton and he was very popular with the Wigan fans after his shirt incident.
Patronising the saints fans and belittling the Rugby league community on tele does no good. Especially when you are contracted to them.
I personally liked his comments about always wanting to play union. Well thanks for telling the league fans that.
Edit: just read Saddo's comment. He puts it ALOT better than me.

| Fine way to treat a club who will have looked after him no end. For someone who hasn't achieved anything in RL to treat Saints and the sport that way is completely uncalled for.

| Personally i think the whole situation mainly comes down to him not the being the sharpest tool in the box, if he fancied a go at union then fair enough, he could have said in a statement the following which would have gone down a lot better with the saints fans and RL fans in general.
"I want to thank all the St Helens players, fans and staff for the way they have supported me over the years, i`ll be giving nothing less than 100% to St Helens for the rest of the season and rugby union won`t be in my thoughts during this time. The oppertunity arose for me to try rugby union, after thinking long and hard about the offer it seemed sensible to give the game a try now whilst i`m still young enough as age would give me the chance to return to rugby league at a later date if things didn`t work out. St Helens would be my only choice if i returned to rugby league as they have supported me since i was a young kid and i feel that kind of loyalty and support towards me should be rewarded if i returned to rugby league".
That would sound a lot better than basically saying rugby union is a lot bigger and better game than league, we know its a bigger game Kyle but do you think that RL fans would want to hear that from a professional RL player thats been supported since he was a kid by a professional rugby league club that has also backed you financially and supported you in every way possible ?

| Come on boys and girls, stop getting your knickers in a twist
The only thing he's said that could wind people up, is that RU is a bigger sport than RL........IT IS, live with it.
As long as he puts the effort in for Stains' fans, and their club (which he says he will), then so what. People have gone to RU before, and I'm sure it will happen again, and vice versa for unionites coming to our game.
I bet there weren't many people stood on the Fletch in the last 40 years, saying that Bevan (J), Bateman, Ellis, Phillips, Davies were all moneygrabbing mercenaries, and the Wire don't want them.
Eastmond is a sportsman, who is fairly obviously going to take a bigger paypacket, than what he's currently receiving. Who on here, wouldn't do the same, in an everyday working situation?.......come on, I'm waiting.
Ahhh, a lot of people's principals change when money is involved, don't they.

Did't we all think it was about money then it came out that Saints were offering around the same wages (sure i read that somewhere) ?
So then it's not about the big pay day it's about Eastmond wanting to play in Union and getting the adulation that his ego needs.
The guy comes across as a bit of a big time charlie, good luck to him.
