| Quote: Paul Youane "The weakness of the pound means your goosed for big name Aussies.
Luke Gale replacing Eastmomd? You're having a laugh. The end of an era if that's true.'"
The weakness of the pound is irrelevant if they give him two players' wages or if he's someone not interested in the NRL anymore. They always crop up, the Jamie Lyon's and Joel Monaghan's of this world.
As for Gale I believe there are a few clubs looking at him. His stock is apparently rising. They are very complimentary about his performance tonight over on the Leeds forum.

You Wire fans said the same about a blonde gypsy we signed from the National Leagues a few years back

| Quote: morleys_deckchair "he will be a massive loss for saints.... if they announce it tomorrow and he leaves with immediate effect they have big problems.'"
No. We have big problems with his attitude which is disrupting the team. Many saints fans (with the exception of saddened) will be glad to see the back of him. On top of that he is looking distictly predictable, ordinary and lacks ambition on the pitch (never goes to take the line on).
His positional sense is not the best - when we had the repeat set on your line he was far too far away from the ruck area and confused gaskell who thought he was playing SO.
TBH he had one great half of a season with us just before longy went. Then he blackmailed us and we paid up. since then he has missed more games than he has played in due a series of apparently unrelated injuries, was constantly refered to a the gingerbread boy because of his fragility. When he has come back from injury, he has never achieved anything like the heights of that first season.
The club and fans have been very patient with him, believing / hoping / praying that he would regain form and fitness and now not ever two years later, he is blackmailing us again!
Goodbye Kyle and please don't come back.
Anyway, seeing as I'm on your forum; congratulations, you were far the better team and thoroughly deserved your victory. The score flattered us.
Very amusing fans you have; barking at Monahan and asking us if we were sure we were playing at home!! Listening to the wire fans in full flow was the best part of the evening for me

| He's not a 6 or 7 for me
He's a slighty better than average centre

Kyle? He is an extremely good centre. He got all our points at the 2009 Grand Final from centre. As for being a no.7 ... while he has definitely had the flash, I've never seen him as an organiser. It is Pryce who is our organiser. And sorely missed at present!
By the way - well done on the win. I knew you'd get there eventually!

Sorry I must have missed that he never took on line the line . I think my shirt was dirtier than his where I may have spilled my beer. Totally disinterested. The only straight run of the night was down the tunnel.
On a seperate note well done on your long awaited win. Best side without any shadow of a doubt. Defence especially first half was top notch.

Good post. Great way to pay back the club who had confidence in you. He stole a salary last season and Saints must regret giving him a good contract. His attitude when Gardner dropped the ball last night was bad. Gardner should have taken the ball, but Eastmond's pass was also poor. WE don't need attitude like that in the game.

| Saints will be better off without him..His attitude smacks of a certain Iestyn Harris we had the misfortune of dealing with some years ago...
Its sad that a player so young is chasing money so early in his career...

| Where is he going to play in RU? Back Rows will eat him for breakfast if he plays at scrum half. Centres in RU tend to play crash ball, so the only place that I can see him is on the wing. Give him 18 months and he'll be back.

| Mate of mine is a big union fan, though he does enjoy league. He asked me about Eastmond the other day having never been aware of him, so I directed him to watch the match last night.
At half-time, he sent me a text saying something like "Wow, this lad's great, good hands, always involved, excellent workrate, blah blah".
Easily pleased these RU types, aren't they?

Agreed. It looks like centre though - Bath are shipping Hape out to London Irish at the end of the season, which seems to leave a space for Eastmond.

| If Jason Robinson made it I can't see why Eastmond couldn't play in the same position he did, whatever that position was.
