Also thought Blythe put in another great showing, first half he seemed to be in every peice of defence and rattle them with a couple of tough (maybe not legal) hits!

Evans went steady too when he came on looks strong in his running.

Didn't like Blythe's tackles one bit. Was putting a few sneaky hits in and then got caught with two consecutive high shots and didn't take the hint. Weakest link tonight. Usually it is Benny giving away the penalties, but he is worth it. Blythe was taking liberties.

Evans i was very impressed with. Shame the team had shut up shop in terms of attack (his strong suit) when he came on.

would have like to see evans in full flight when we were on the attack but still did himself no harm, seemed hard to put down once he hit the line.

I think Blythe's two that he got caught for were naughty, not nasty. apart from that thought he was good. to say weak link is a bit harsh IMO, dont think there were any weak links.

With regards to Saints, even though i think it flattered them it was a great pass and line for Flannery's try

Blythe had another great game... he made some fantastic tackles on big men... he stopped puleta dead in his tracks near the line with one effort.

Thank God. At least we've finally done it. We were perfect for 70 minutes. Those last few tries tainted it a little, but I'm happy, because at least for the last however many years, we've been competetive all the way through to the last minutes, but tonight, it took Saints near on 70 minutes to get over our line.

It it was the weak link. But saying that was the weakest bit of our performance is saying something. We out played them in every department except thoses silly penalties. Can really see Blythe taking over in the centres. Hits hard is mobile.

I am DYING to see Evans in full flight against SL opponents. I know he can do it. Don't wanna go too far. But he can be bigger than Eastmond ATM.

fantastic effort from every player tonight...defence won the game...coupled with clinical finishing. Should give the team a big confidence boost at the start of a long season.

Saint looked very ordinary....very ordinary...missing Cunningham for sure.

Pretty sure with him in the team they would have scored a couple of tries in that first half.
