That was the kit wire wore at wembley in 1974 which was at the time their 'away' kit.
Their home kit then was all blue with the odd yellow 'W' and 'number'
As our colours are primrose and blue (no mention of white) then probably hoops for me.
I thought that the 2009 away kit should have been the home kit really.
This years home kit is similar to that with more blue so yes.....I'll be buying one of these shirts.

| Why not go for the iconic white shirts with primrose and blue band that was worn during the fifties (and my youth in the sixties) which you nearly always see Brian Bevan and the legendary team of 1954 wearing. Have the primrose and blue hoops as the away kit, or at least alternate these 2 designs on a cyclical basis to keep up sales of replicas. We should create our own "brand look" and stick with it so that you can always identify Warrington in the same way that Saints stand out with their white with a red vee.

| How do you 'start' a tradition 130 years into a club's history? Something becomes tradition over time and is rarely 'started' deliberately. If anything, it is our 'tradition' to werar differently designed kits each year. I quite like how we have had hooped, Chevroned, striped jerseys. I also like the fact we've had predominantly white ones with the PnB and even those in the style of the 95 Centenary kit. Look at Saints' kits. I'd hate to be forking out £40+ a year on a shirt that is rarely any different from the previous year. How much more can you do with a red V on a white shirt? Our colours are our tradition, not the kit design.

| Kits are kits. idc if we play naked, aslong as we win games and trophys.

So, fifty years from now, Wire won't have a tradition of playing at the HJ?
Actually, you're probably right, it'll probably be on its 7th or 8th name by then

Well the isation of 'The Celtic Song' in your signature suggests to me you support Everton. They have a "standard" kit of royal blue shirt and white shorts, and I doubt many of their fans would want that to change. Do you?

And for about four seasons in this decade, there has been far too an insignificant difference between kits to warrant bringing out a 'new' one. A bit of yellow added to the collar here and there. I liked last season's kit and this season's and bought both shirts. The slant on the '85 cup winners cup shirt was nice. My arguement is that if you're going to justify spending, or asking people to spend, £40+ on a new shirt, at least make it warrant it.

The great thing about these photos of Boyd, Tamati etc is that I can now look at them without thinking "why have we no longer got a pack of forwards anywhere near as good as this one was"
