it was stupid to go for 2 points at 6 6 we all knopw aussies were gonna score more tries so the 2 points were never gonna make any difference should of gone for the try far to negative

I have no problem with Atkins being slated he has had two poor game's,but i do have a problem with the usual suspects on the V.T. ignoring the mistakes other players made...

One Aussie try came from a knock on from Goulding returning the ball in a one on one tackle.
Another one came from an awful attempt by Briscoe to diffuse a pretty straight forward bomb.
There was also the ball that hit the ground which Cudjoe should have eaten up but he hesitated and allowed the Aussie player (who's name escapes me) gather and set up a try..

Add to that we have absolutely nothing in the pivotal halfs position...Going on tour with only 1 recognised scrum half (who has played hooker all season) is noth short of a disgrace IMO.
Burgess and Ellis who play in the the NRL have been disappointing i expected a lot more from those two...

And the fact two of the Aussie tries should have been chalked of and i believe they effected the momentum of the game.....

To sum up i believe Graham,Westwood,Roby,Robinson (at a push)...Can come home with their heads held high...

Problems with player development goes right back through to junior rugby and the people who are tasked to develop the skills required.

Roby over Cameron Smith........?

There must be a place in that team for Tony Archer, he was outstanding forAustralia!

I've left Cameron Smith on the bench and started Roby because I feel Roby just edged it. He played well in an average team performance and stood out along with Westwood, Graham and Burgess. Also Roby was brilliant defensivley.

Cameron Smith controlled the game well as he usual does and was key to Australlias yards forward. However, Roby edged it for me, as I say, stood out in a poor England performance.

This. Watched two junior games this morning, neither were up to much.

Think brilliaint is going a bit over the top imo but why does he feel the need to give away stupid penalities especially when England were playing well?As Clarkey said correctly they eventually scored from that brain fart.Not singling him out by the way as Burgess was just as bad with the dropped balls.

Everyone singles out players after defeats like this, usually with their club bias affecting their opinions. All the backs were terrible, Lockers is never a 6 and looked out of place and although Robinson had his moments he is average at this level and Tomkins did nothing. Goulding, Cudjoe, Atkins and Briscoe look way out of their depth at this level. IMO only Graham has performed well in both games. Others have had their moments but just not consistant enough. We made far too many errors in our own half, and thats what killed us.

Thought Atkins was awful again. Was good to see Harrison go well on his debut. Though your guy Westwood was in the top 3 today for us.
