I agree totally with robs selection. It's tough on Riley but there is no room for sentiment at the top.

Riley deserves a place on merit
We have a pretty decent squad there, although the likes of saints and wigan are recruiting very well - think saints are turning into a Bradford of old, more power than pace.
Should be an interesting year once again

It's a strong pack indeed but I think Saints 8-13 is still stronger.

Great thread and some interesting challenges for TS.
Also love the selective memory in the OP referring to Clarke's poor defence in the Cunningham try v Saints when it was only dreadful defence by Monas that left Clarke in that position in the first place!
Be interesting to see whether we would cope as well as Saints & Leeds have this season with a high level of injuries.

Fielden will be a better player next year playing alongside Lima and Hoffman. Farrell has impressed me every time I've seen him. Tomkins and O'Laughlin have been brilliant all year. I can see Wire, Wigan and Saints competeting at the top again this year, that's for sure.
re: Our squad - I agree with that Rob, harsh on Riley but he can fly out the line too much and I'm afriad you can't leave Bridge out. We've got some squad next year, that back line alone, looks class, not to mention the forwards. |

Spoilt for choice with your centres.
I think we're in a similar position with Goulding as you are with Riley (not strength in depth wise) but in that if Roberts is on form then he should be in the team, but that would likely be at the expense of Goulding unless we were to move Sam back to 6.
I worry about our 9 for next year, Tommy and Micky don't inspire me.
