Our pack has to perform on a par with Wembley if we're going to do it tonight. Saints are going to be really revved up for this, no half backs or no half backs will make no difference imo. Cunningham and Roby will rip us apart at marker if we let them and will keep us on the back foot. If we don't match them down the middle we'll lose (again). Massive game from all required again.

From the title I thought this thread was about Knowsley Road itself (anybody seen anything about the reason for the playoffs being a week earlier was the fact that the safety certificate on KR runs out just after what is the current week3..rumoured about feb/March this year).

Anyways....the game. Wire certainly have the ability to beat St helens at the moment. The one thing that need to watch is forcing that "last" pass. If some of the passes at the HJ had gone to the winger instead of just infront or just behind this whole "hope we beat them" would be academic by now.

Whats the chances of Eastmond passing a "late" fitness test???

I'm not sure as none of the rumours about injuries have been publicised by Saints. The 19 doesn't have Eastmond in it and he's not rumoured to be anywhere near fit.

Eastmond, Pryce and Wheeler are definitely out.
Lomax was injured last week and they were going to decide today up to an hour before kick off if he's fit, if not matty Smith to play.

But now it's reckonned Scott Moore is out as well. That means either Roby or Wilkin at 6.

It's looking like we'll have our first 5 choices for halfback out injured.

It doesn't matter too much IMHO.

TS has started a revolution at the club, CC last year, CC and top 3 finish this year, and building for more success in the future.

Regardless of our progress to the GF I'd be happy with a consistant top 4 finish every year with the occasional CC and League Leaders Shield as a bonus.
