You will know when it finally gets to me when a bright light is spotting one morning emanating from Milner Street.
I guess because I do so much of it, I simply can't comprehend anybody doing it for [ifun[/i.'"
Have you worked out how long it would take you to get from home to KR at a strict, regimented, Royal Mail pace?

Just imagine if you were (when you hopefully are) privatised. You'd do it in 50 mins max.

| You're not wrong at 4pm as well. Just think what you'll be paying for the privilege of that as well!

If we had never privatised BT my internet connection would have taken 3 months to order and would have consisted of two tins and a length of string.

| That would be nothing compared to the Pandora's box that would be opened upon the privatisation on The Royal Mail.

We coped with BT, British Steel, British Rail, British Airways and I'm sure we will cope when Royal Mail gets done for. We may even get consumer choice then
PS - You must be sour the Unions power has gone, Maggie saw to that.

Definately not mate. Last time I followed the road from the Hight Street, through Winwick Road, up to past the Swan, and then followed Winwick Road all the way up to the roundabout at LA Bowl, then basically walked almost the full length of Cromwell Avenue up to the Waterworks, Right into Canons Road, and then all the way down until our estate.
That's the best way, keeping to the main roads and the lights. However, the maud has now thrown a spanner in the works by saying she'd pay for a taxi. Does she not know I'm on a health kick?? Heh heh!

LMAO, quality post. Being from Earlestown i dont find our little town that bad, but is it really as you make out? Get into Rosies for an hour while you wait, the girls in there have 6 fingers on each hand and the men have more fake tan than Phil Brown (ex Hull FC manager), but its a good pint!
For anyone thats from sunny Newton / Earlestown... Blue Lion pub 12pm, all day sesh, bus later in afternoon, few pints in St Helens then the match if anyone fancies it

Earlestown isn't so bad to spend an hour in...The pub right over the road from the station surprisingly called*The Railway* is the local HQ of, how can I put it? Ladies who love each other. They're a very nice crowd.

| I wouldn't know the way from Newton to Sankey having only been there (Newton) a few times in 1997 and that's it but I remember it being further away than an hour and fifteen minute walk unless you're very fast!
I've walked from St. Helens to Sankey a couple of times around the same period so my memory is vague but I think it took about two and a half hours.
I always walked to home games (at Wilderspool) when I lived in Sankey (near the Butcher's Arms) and that took about an hour.
It's a two hour cycle ride from where I live in Manchester to home games now and that's by far the best way to get to games in the summer.
