I couldn't help but laugh at my Wigan mates tonight. Its not the fact they lost, its the way they did it thats still making me chuckle.

Although one of them was talking sense when he said: "I'm glad we've lost. Not only does it relieve us of the pressure of going unbeaten, but we were too cocky with the ball in the first half and forced too many errors throughout the game. This will give us a kick up the backside for next week."

Think thats the first time I've agreed with a Wigan fan.

from the wigoon forum believe there was fighting after the game that can't be true us warr scum weren't there lol, on a more serious note, its a minority of so called fans at most clubs, probably not even fans, its not localised to our club. so no we are not scum. would have posted on their site but guess what its beeb locked, well done bradford on great 2nd half eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif icon_cool.gif

Quote: Rugbychick™ "I hope that's sarcastic. If it was the other way around I doubt we'd see many Wigan fans on here commiserating'"

Au contraire: Odemwingie, Fishsta and Rogues Gallery are a fair-minded bunch.

I think their travelling army of committed fans are a credit to the game and it saddened me to think of the poor souls traipsing back over the Pennines after what looked like a certain victory.

I thought exactly that when I read it. According to some Wiagn fans last week we're the only club with a bad element and all Wire fans are scumbags. On one hand I'm sorry to see fighting amongst fans at any game but on the other I'm kinda glad it's shown that any club can have these idiots.

I wonder if any of the wiganers will be highlighting the trouble at last nights game on the super league facebook page the way the did after the incident after our match the other week... I very much doubt it ... some of them even know the names of the troublemakers, but suprise suprise wont name and shame them.... This MINORITY of scum at all grounds not just ours and wigans needs stamping out of the game. And anyone who can name the culprits and chooses no to is just as bad in my opinion

Hopefully now after last nights result, this myth about wigan being the best thing since sliced bread will be totally dispelled.
The fact of the matter is, apart from the wolves, all of wigans previous wins have been against weak opposition and all at the DW stadium. Bradford didn't turn up for the first 40 last night yet still managed to beat this 'unbeatable' wigan team. And lets face it their win at the hj stadium was very fortunate to say the least.

I have seen nothing to suggest that wigan are better than warrington and i fully expect warrington to win the next time the teams meet.

The best excuse i heard on the Wigan board last night was, Mark Riddell and Glenn Hall are best pals and when Hall came on, Riddell was trying too hard to out do his mate and thats why Wigan lost. icon_confused.gif icon_lol.gif

And wire fans had a go at me for calling them scum disgrace! There is no room for this in RL. They have the stadium, and the team, sort the foolish fans out.

Simply shocking. Wire fans are the scum of RL!

My own experience was ok, normally I get alot of stick walking back to the car but I assume thats cause they lost.

----------------------------------------------------------------

This is a post made by Odemwingie after the Wire v Wigan game....I don't like to pick on individual fans but i take exception to being called scum...There are idiots following every team...

Its a pity he and a few other fans on that board are too young to remember Wiganers getting involved in violence in the 80's...

To be fair to the majority on the Wigan board, it was only cretins like Odemwingie that spouted this kind of rubbish about us being scum etc. Its strange how he's gone very quiet after last nights goings-on. Now some of his own fans have caused some trouble does that make all the Wigan fans scum ? No it doesn't.

How ironic that Wigan fans can't remember violence in the 80's from their own fans, but they all remember when they were good at rugby and won trophies in the same era.

Nice to see that little bit of petulance from Sam Tomkins are he dropped the ball. I was disappointed with the crowd, it was under 10,000, and there didn't seem that many Wigan fans there.
