It's points conceded not points difference.

| Surely as the glass is narrower at the bottom than it is at the top then there is more empty space than water, so it's not even half full.
Warrington fans however would probably accept that as "well its nearly half way, and that's good enough for Warrington, a club brought up on mediocrity".
Saints fans would not accept it being anything less than full which is why they will be in outrage if they finish 3rd in the year this year, something which many Wire fans would actually accept as "progress"!

It isn't holding a more interesting fluid. Water's rather dull these days.

| i reckon our defence is strong as without the halequins result it might look bad but three games against tough opponents- castleford away,wigan and huddersfield

| Our defence has improved but the Wigan game showed that we can still have 10 or 15 minute spells where we switch off. That will still happen but perhaps less often. Saints will be a massive test as there will be spells where they get on a roll but if we can show that we can stem those sort of tides and dig in then it will show real character.

| Bet you all thought this thread was dead and buried.
Taking into account this weekends games I was interested in averages again so got my calculator out (boring i know);
Wigan Avg Scored 34.8 - Conceed 10.8
Warr Avg Scored 33.2 - Conceed 12
Hull Avg Scored 26.4 - Conceed 12.4
Hudd Avg Scored 24.4 - Conceed 8
Leeds Avg Scored 29.2 - Conceed 14.4
Saints Avg Scored 27.6 - Conceed 18.8
When you compare the winners from the last few years;
2009 Leeds Avg Scored 29.81 - Conceed 16.78
2008 Saints Avg Scored 34.81 - Conceed 15.3
2007 Saints Avg Scored 29 - Conceed 15.63
2006 Saints Avg Scored 32.52 - Conceed 14.8
So, given the averages of winners from previous seasons, the only teams currently in the top 6 showing similar form are Wigan, Leeds and us. We are all scoring over the previous winner averages and conceeding less.
I know we are only 5 games in but this is surely a very very good sign!!

A bit glassy. And from IKEA.
As for the defence, well the important thing surely is the fact that we've won 4 out of 5 & only lost the one by 2 points to the team that are top.
