4 of us are going but i am unsure of where to stay.We are planning a night in Edinburgh after te rugby,so the hotel needs walking distance.

stsying at the premier lodge in leith, got 4 rooms but through people pulling out may have 2 rooms available. sat/sun nights.

Friday to Monday, don't know where but we stayed there last year. Next to the Zoo...

The Holiday Inn, stopped there myself last year, not bad

Just booked the train to Edinburgh Sat morning departs at 7.40 from Warrington Central and returning Monday. Cost is only £26 return, the prices do seem to change daily though as when I looked yesterday it was £31.

Im also getting the train, but booked through virgin a few weeks ago........so think iv got to go via York, taking about 4 1/2 hours.......probably the same route as you i suspect Wolfette....what i would urge is for people to plan their journey carefully if going on the train, as by the look of it there is major disruption on satuday and sunday on the virgin lines!!!! Screwed me cash wise aswel!!!! as i am now going from a direct train to a change, and have paid quite a bit for the tickets through virgin. just a warning people.

Were not going by Virgin, were going Warrington Central - York - Edinburgh, we use Virgin trains back direct from Edinburgh - Warrington Bank Quay but that's the Monday so not that bothered about be late.

Not using the train after last year, took an eternity to get back, due to engineering works on bank holiday, quicker on the bike lol.

Yeah thats what we are doing, bout £30 cheaper aswel, luckily i can get a refund with virgin, and buy cheaper tickets.....i take it this trainwill be rammed????? i assume the york to edinburgh train will be........

What time train are you getting we are on the 7.40am train.
