| I only saw the last the minutes and that was through a boozy haze so frankly the foggy picture on the telly just made me ill. In the bigger picture though Leeds and Saints both losing at home already emphasises two things; first that no one is unbeatable and secondly that unexpected results really do crop up in the early part of the season so I really hope our fans take that on board if tomorrow isn't the walkover a lot of them are probably assuming it will be.

Well done Hull. Very impressive.
thanks feeling optimistic this season after 2 very disappointing seasons, hopefully Longy will stay fit as he will be the key to our success

The pi$$ poor ground could well be the reason we are in decline. If everything goes to plan we'll move into a nice new pad (Nicer than your's ) and will have a new coach (Harry/Brian is out of contract) and Jamie Lyon and about 7 other new signings. Could turn that corner well before we 'do a Bradford'. (Cunningham, Wellens, Gardner, Gidley, Meli, Fozzard, Fa'asavalu, Pryce I think are all OOC).
If not at least we'll have the memories

You're right about the coach and the ground but not the team. We had fewer 30+ players than Hull tonight. Given our injuries tonight, we will have half a team of youngsters next week. If anything, our team is more about potential up-and-comings than has-beens, which brings its own challenges.
However, the coach is ruining our play and the ground is ruining our bank account. We presume that the latter influenced the choice of the former.

| My take on Hull is that all their key players are in the twilight of their careers, i expected them to beat saints on the opening day and they will probably have a good start to the season. However, I think they will fade as the season wears on and definitely if some of their ageing stars get injured. They dont have the depth in squad to last a full season.
Saints on the other hand can start slowly but showed glimpses that they still have what it takes, even without Long. Think there is a bit of internal strife at the saints at the moment but I still expect them to be there or there abouts come the end although I doubt they will win anything. They are certainly not as good as they have been in the past 10 years but I still think they will be in the top 5.

| Quote: Les Boyd Is God "leeds getting a thrashing on home soil...'" go to the game did ya les? No thought not. I've posted it where I have seen this rubbish! Leeds ripped cas appart enough times to win the game but bomb 3 or 4 brakes/chances with the line begging. Leeds made unforced errors all night and the completion rate was shocking and the kicking game was a non starter. cas held in the there and got a foot hold in the game. Chase short kicking game was out of this world and cas worked had to take the points. Cas were good for the win Leeds were very poor. If the ball had stuck and Leeds had taken the right option we could have won by 3 or 4 scores as it was we blew it big time, take nothing away from cas they deserved the win. but losing by 14 points in cas' biggest game of the season is hardly a thrashing
