| Saw 2 different car flags at the M6 toll booth on Sunday after the final going back down the motorway.
My flags are still flying along with the ribbon and will do till our season is over.

| My house is still fully decorated, with a (now deflated) cup balloon stuck in the front window!

| Still plenty to see as you drive around the borough, algernon street was awash with house and car flags, its trimmed down a little this week but still looks like its ready to celebrate something big. Its rather cringe to still see the cars and houses decorated.

Would we ever find winning trophies routine as saints do ?? Would we have the same excitement / enthusiasm if we won year in / year out ??
Does winning become boring ??
or is it better to store up for 35 years ?

I was very excited in 1996 when we won the CC, then went on to do the double. In my time as a saints supporter ( dont forget i supported warrington for many years, ask folks on here ) before 1996 I had only seen us win a premiership final against wigoon, that was good. We won the charity shield, again against wigoon, also lovely. A lancashire cup against Rochdale, played at Wilderspool, or the ZOO as stevo called it once. And ermmmm yeah I think thats it, beside a few trips to wembley to se us get nilled, and lose by a point and and and.. so yes 1996 was a time to celebarat and boy did I, and the town, but we must have been a dull town as w didnt dress up our homes, even the council homes, and I think in 96 car flags was still awaiting bradford dulls marketing team to invent them, so dont recall any of those. We jsut got sozzled and ate kebabs and sang songs about dirty women.
I rem doign up the windows of the house as a kid and also did it in 96,96 but all teh gear got took off the next day, or on the monday. I just smile and shake my head when I see the cars still drivign around with the flags,a nd the houses done up lke its wembley this coming weekend.
Winnign doesnt become boring, but when you do win as regular as saints have been doing you do get a bit blase about it. But the last 2 GF's and this years no CC show means I am all giddy about a possible GF winners party and another go at the WCC in feb. Each to their own I guess, the flag thing 2 weeks after the event just isnt my bag baby, and find it cringetastic.

Hey I never said I supported warrington, its some of the muckers on here who said I supported the wolfs and used to see me in the fletch end in me duffel coat and bottle end glasses. I am not saying if I did or not...but i defo loved RL all my life and was first on the terraces in 1984 as a wee lad.
Follow the glory, follow the glory.
