I agree and think the Man himself would be first to say so.

Said it before, but think that he saw a great opportunity to get some silverware in the CC, which he would view as a springboard to creating a further winning mentality.

We now have silverware in the cabinet, and I would bet he now has his sights on next year and beyond to consolidate our league position, and pushing us on to be real contenders.

Yesterday just could have been the start of something very good for us Wire fans.

In Tony Smith We Trust !!!!!!

In around 5 months Tony has turned a group of individuals into a real team who really work hard for each other, congratulate when good work has been done or pick each other up when a mistake has been made.

Well done to Simon Moran and the rest of the board for getting Tony back into club coaching.

The bloke is an absolute genius. To win silverware in his first season at Wire after all of these years that warrington have under-achieved is awesome.

I dont for one minute think that there is not a long way to go, BUT with Smith in charge i believe that we will get to be the big club that warrington should have been for many years but for various reasons have not been.

I know it's said a lot but now more than ever - in Smith we trust a014.gif

Viva Tony.

What a bloke.

Cullen tried 5 or 6 years to do it, and failed.

Smithy tried 4 months, and suceeded.

What a coach!!!

Will be interesting to watch Boots n All this week. To see what is said by the pundits regarding our victory. Hope they give us the credit we deserve.

Coming out of the ground, I heard somebody say "They wouldn't have won that gane under Cullen"

I replied, "They wouldn't have won that game under Noble, Brown, Potter or any other 'good' coach kicking around in SL."

I meant it too, his preperation, his thought processes, he's a massively talented coach, best bit of business done by SJM by a mile.

What ever contract TS is on, tear it up & get him signed on a longer one!

If he can achieve this in 5 months, can you imagine what can happen in 5 years?

We need to somehow replicate that performance on a weekly basis (next year now) and it is essential we squeak into that eight play-off spot as we have the game to beat anyone in a knockout type of match.

I was really worried about the bench before the game, but our Lord God got it spot on. That's why he gets the plaudits that he does!
