I feel for the guy, but he shouldn't play at Wembley based on that performance purely on the basis that he would be a liability IMO.

He still needs a lot of work.

Some of our 'fans' tonight, around me, were a disgrace towards him. It's borderline sort of bullying almost, belittling him, it's really got to me tonight, seriously.

Sure, first half, he made a couple of errors, guilty as charged. Fluffed a restart as he was trying too hard, a couple of the passes on the wing weren't the best that he was given, but he should have done better.

Second half, I thought he was arguably our best defender and scored a brilliant try that was disallowed but was a cracking take.

All this 'he can't defend', we'll I've watched him do pretty well against George & Atkins all night, they seemed to to test him out as a weak link and I thought he did very well.

After tonight, It pains me to say it, I sort of hope he goes to Widnes. If he goes there, and he's adored, good luck to him I say, he should be encouraged at our club, but some fans would rather mock him, and dent his confidence on any given occasion, it's sad.

I'll take this judgement of his performance over the idiots who criticise him no matter what he does.

Like you I'm tired of the mindles abuse dished out to Kevin Penny, on here but more so in the stands, and in a way I'm glad I wasn't there tonight to witness it first hand again.

Lay off him. Remember some of the howlers that Riley used to make. The booing was disgraceful toward a lad who watched our team from the terraces a few years ago.

Seriously tonight, I had to sort of stop myself, from having a proper row with someone tonight, who was, well I'll use the word 'abusing' him all night, he's such an easy target, it's a shame.

You know what, I'd crucify him if he looked like he didn't care. If he moped around the field, couldn't be bothered bending down to catch the ball, didn't look interested. It couldn't be further from the truth, and that's what gets me, folk ignore that, constantly slate the kid, then within minutes are shouting "Show some pride Wire ...".

I think tonight he looked too eager to impress, he was deseprate to show what he could do, and for the first 30 mins it got the better of him. He seemed to relax in the second half, he was aruably our best player, scored a peach that wasn't given, tackled as well as I've ever seen him.
