| The Wigin performance i can kinda understand, however some of the effort put in tonight was shoddy and poor. Doesn't fill me with confidence for next week.

But they proved tonight they are not just a one man band and can do just as well without him.

It sort of does the opposite for me, difficult to explain.
We've always been Jekyll & Hyde.
In my head, I know we'll perform next week. Whether Huddersfield are better, I haven't a clue, but I know we'll perform. It's rare we don't in 'big games', hence why our Saints games are always great for the neutral.
Credit Wakefield tonight sure, bag Warrington too, clear as day to me we had 17 fellas, playing well within themselves, from a defensive point of view, the highest tackle must have been moob height, nobody was getting chops high, as you weren't prepared to run the RFL gauntlet and miss the biggest occasion of your life, this is why there was so much second phase ball, as it was leg tackling, arms still free etc.
We need to sort out that ruck business again, lazy there tonight, Drew & Latu killed us, Moore would love that next week, sort that. All in all, I think Smith will have his horlicks tonight, and be quietly pleased it's out of the way. If we're sat here, having lost Monas & Morley say for next week, that's a tough one to swallow.

Not sure if he'd count on the quota like, supposed to have off field issues though, likes a drink, supposed to be in with a bad crowd like.
He could be our saviour.
