Because it was dangerous, but i don't think it was aimed for his head like you are all saying.
I noticed after he got told to watch it, next tackle he just lay there on the floor and the ref hence let the defence lay on for a good few seconds and tomkins just looked a bit stupid for not trying to get up. |

He could have just lifted his leg out and stepped forward but instead he kicked his foot out which was extremely dangerous, if bridge was leaning a bit more forward he could of had his eye and ended his career, thats what was bad about it.
He has a short fuse and was frustrated that he couldn't get the quick play the ball. I think he's a good player but he really needs to change his attitude or he will be marked and targeted.

Thats the point though isn't it, he couldn't lift his leg out and hence had to do what he did. |
