Well done for going to Hull today, thanks alot, you may have made a difference and we won.
Don't you f**ng dare look down down your snotty little nose at me or any of the other thousands of fans who WILL be on that wagon in the semis to support our team.
If you want to enter "fan of the year" then do it. Don't ever try to judge anyone else in the process.
You're absolutely fired !!'"
I take your point, but what I think he meant was people who haven't been to a game, possibly ever, will start making assumptions as to how 'we' will go on, and how they will be planning for wembley to watch 'us'.
It is a nessercary evil, though, if we are to continue develop as a club and breach the intimate circle of dominance at the top of Ruby League. I bet there were a few speccies at Wembley in the 80s who'd never been to a Wigan game until they were suddenly in major finals and on National television.

No way, who is this 'you' that wanted Briers out? Briers > Dobson
Why would Carlsberg have a rugby team anyway, and what makes you think a load of drunk Danes would be good at the game?

Good. Might bring some lapsed supporters back and start to build attendances again.

| As a lapsed supporter, I rediscovered the rugby bug about 4 years ago after getting a free ticket to the game at HJ against Salford.
Since then, have the season ticket and the shirts, and even go to away games when I can. Didn't make HKR unfortunately.
If people want to get on the bandwagon, welcome them, and hope it might lead to some of them rediscovering the "bug" as I did.
The more the merrier.

| Agreed, it would be great to have 30,000 Warrington fans there supporting the team, rather than 10,000 and the rest neutrals from the likes of Leigh and Featherstone that are there for the day out.

| Ive been a Wire fan for many years, followed them to every ground in the country from the 70s, going on the coach to clubs that did't do programmes just team sheets, now im showing my age.
more recently i went all home and away games when we had bloody Rodwell and crew, and ona better note was there at the smellie dome when we sent Widnes down, and said goodbye to Wilderspool harldly ever missing a game. However, this year i have not bought a season ticket and eventhough i have got my shirt to date not even been a game.
I got fed up of coming back down the 62 in silence and being totally brassed off after being beat when we really should have won and you always thought they would (you all know the feeling). I asked myself, im supposed to be enjoying this.
I posted regulary on the message board on the official site before they stopped it as Postl
I have noticed that over recent years it seems an effort for our players to come over and clap the faithfull.
Having said all that you never fall out with the club just with the players wearing our colours.
I would love to go to the semi final and maybe i will quite rightly miss out as i totally agree season ticket holders even if it is there first year should get first dabs on the tickets as i did in 2004, i actually think season ticket holders should be allowed two.
If i am by wanting to be at the semi's judged by some of our support jumping on the band wagon then to honest don't give a flying F

| What on earth is all this about? There are Wire fans all over the Country, like myself, who due to the distance, work commitments etc, cannot go as often as they would like. There are also others who have simply got sick of the wait for success and have lapsed. The Club needs every single bit of support it can get. I'm sure that there are a few who would like a return to the old 4,500 a week gate. Whether people like it or not all Clubs need 'bandwagon ' supporters, the simple formula is more fans=more money=more success.

This is exactly what people are talking about, fans should stick with the club through good and bad times however long it may last.
Although we need bandwagon supporters for the final you wont see three quarters of these fans every again so just because we win the Challenge Cup doesn't necessarily guarantee bigger crowds and more money, in fact i very much doubt we would see a significant rise on home attendances even if we won a trophy.

| I'm not saying that this is right, I'm saying that this is fact. As far as I am concerned it isn't right, but it happens and it's a fact of life.
