Thought Tony Smith was against players having big contracts. and wanted a more equal pay structure across the team. The rumours coming from Leeds is that its the big contracts given to the Aussie has the rest of the team once smith left?

funny how my fingers don't seem to be burning,i never stated any time scale on signing announcements i merely stated we had made a signing,i never named names and speculated i left that to young headstrong jockeys like latchy.

i made a statement which i stand by but i will not carry the blame for other peoples wild guesses and rumourmongering.we have made the signing i was told about,i have nothing more to add to that.

I can guarantee that Wire will announce a new signing within the next couple of months. Effectively thats all you have told us, so really its nothing that we dont already know.

Out of interest, if the contract you are proporting is duly signed, sealed and delivered beyond doubt, why not disclose? Surely you mentioning it on a messageboard would not jeopardise anything to the detriment of the club or player?

If you care not to mention details, yet have sufficient inside information to whet the appetite on here, I am at a loss as to why you would mention anything in the first place ?

taking this back to when all this started,we were not winning games,playing well and there was an air of despondancy.lots of negativity on here,tony smith is appointed and things seem to be looking up.the posts on here go from "i'm not renewing my season ticket etc..." to "the futures bright etc.."
the rumour thread springs up and certain members start coming up with some garbage,all i did at a certain point was say we had made a signing to try to interject a bit more positivity,i have spoke to a few people about this and a few people have told me that they knew about the signing also.
in future i will not be commenting on anything other than what happens on the pitch.i find it baffling that certain posters can come up with all kinds of bull and then question me.
by the way hicks hasn't gone to union and sinfield isn't coming here yet!
