To be fair, he`s not on his own is he? There have been a lot of people, (usually the same names), spouting a lot of rubbish on here over the last few weeks, (not one of them have been able to back their statements up with any sort of proof) and in the coming weeks/months, when any signings are announced, every last one of them will be shouting from the rooftops that this is the signing they were talking about. In actual fact, it will be simply a case of, keep posting nonsense for long enough and at some point it is bound to "coincide" with a signing, (the "imaginary" proceived law of probability, ie, we have got shut of Two players, we "must" be signing someone shortly, must get posting)....IMO this has become quite tedious and wearysome now...
As for Woody and Hicks, i am very pleased that they have re-signed, L Anderson, well he has improved over the last few weeks and if T.Smith see`s something in him, well thats good enough for me, hope to see them all "kick on from here, with regards to rescuing this season!!

| I'm pleased with all three tbh. They all give 100% when they play and I believe this is a good message to the rest of the squad.
I agree Louis has had some unfair stick. He is a grafter and works hard throughout the game. Yes he has been accused of rushing out of the line, usually to put pressure on the kicker - damned if you do, damned if you don't.

| Yeah, its best to do what Tache does and say warrington have ageed a deal with a player which will be announced soon but its more than my life is worth to tell you who it is but you wont be dissapointed.
Tache cant fail as its 100% guaranteed Wire will announce a signing sooner or later.

| A little sadly, my immediate reaction to these signings was huge amusement that they proved beyond doubt the complete lack of credibility certain posters on here have. Hopefully some of them will now crawl back under there stones and stop wasting everyone's time with their stupid nonsense.
Oh and well done to the club and the three players. Good signings.

Yea sorry didn't relies.
Wood deserves his contract, Louis may have been fortunate to get 2 years and Hicks deserves his contract although i feel it maybe his last year (retire)

| Nice to keep hold of Hicks. Anderson could become a very decent player. My biggest concern is with Paul Wood, great player but with real injury concerns.

Its only a one year deal for Woody though, and he's definately done enough to earn that at least. Hopefully he'll stay relatively injury free this year and next, and start to push for a GB spot again.
I reckon we'll see a major improvement in Louis Anderson, and Hicks also warrants another season at the club while we wait for the likes of Penny and Williams to mature.
Great business all round I feel, next year's squad is beginning to take shape.

| I`m not sure where i stand on these new deals, Chris Hicks is a solid finisher and if he`s allowed to stay on the wing which looks likely with the arrival of Richie Mathers then a 1 year deal is fair enough to reward his overall solid performances for the club, i would like to see us sign a goal kicker though as he isn`t the most consistent of which it isn`t his fault really as he was thrown into that situation due to the poor form of Lee Briers with the boot at the time.
Paul Wood is a risk due to the extent of his injuries over the years, its not good for overall squad cohesian in having too many of this type of player on your books and we have our fair share of injury prone players, on effort he gives 100% but i`m not sure his defence is the best and you just feel how long will it be before his shoulder goes again. I wish him well and touch Wood he can put his injuries behind him.
Louis Anderson, personally i wouldn`t have given him a new deal based on his overall performances since his arrival but if Tony Smith can bring out the best of him then he`s a far better judge than i am, i just hope we don`t keep Vinnie for the wrong reasons now.

| I'm not sure what I feel about this news to be honest. Take Paul Wood out of it as I think he deserves another two years. He's looking like he's putting his injury jinx behind him now, like Grix appears to be, and Johnson, and Bridge, so it all bodes well really. There's not too many good props knocking about, so when you have one, and he wants to stay, keep him.
The other two, I'm on the fence really. I'd quite like to have seen both go really. I know there's still big potential in Louis Anderson and somebody may have got that out of him had we got rid, but I'd rather have seen us go out and get something different, that ball playing back rower that we don't have. With Hicks, he's been steady, but I don't think we'd miss him really, I'd have liked us to have used the quota spot elsewhere, if we wanted a winger desperately, get an English one, or use the number of academy prospects that we have that we seem to be backfilling.
Having said the above, a bit of me thinks that continuity seems the key in SL, Saints & Leeds don't do 10 in 10 out year on year, it's one or two max, so I can see the logic, you try to keep this group together, this group will be getting to grips with Smiths structures, ethics, ways etc, you have to be building towards something, to pretty much decimate the squad at season end would take you back to square one, as oppose to bringing in a few new faces who add strength, and they come into an enviornment that is solid, has continuity & they bed in easier because of this.

It was a "FACT" that where Louis ended up was dependant upon his brother. Can you clarify exactly what this meant?
