| Great thread!
I sit in the East Stand with my son and daughter aged 11 & 6. I find it hard at times to accept the bad language and behaviour of some fans. Even before the game starts a bloke infront of me gives Matt King & Micaheal Monaghan abuse. I like many fans await the day these players earn their keep to remind him of his stupid loutish behaviour. Just for the record, as I have stated before I never boo the opposition or our team as a sign of respect plus as a respecable parent. Moan over!!!!!!

| I very rarely swear that badly, but did on the way out on Saturday. And felt immediately bad as I saw a young lad right in front of me.

| Quote: 'Hitman' Norvern Soul "Without getting into the 'true fan' debate, I've never understood those who boo/abuse their own players. It's hardly going to flick a switch in, say, Matt King's head and make him think "Gee, I really wanna up my game for these guys", is it?
People will jump up with "we pay our money, we have the right..blah blah", but did Simon Moran personally come to your house, hold a gun to your head and force you to pay?
If you think paying [ix[/i amount of money gives you the right to watch a world beating team, Headingley is accessible in under 90 minutes if you catch the m62 at the right time.
Yes I was upset with the result on saturday, no I wasn't happy that twice in two weeks we've a) thrown away a lead and b) conceeded 20+ unanswered points in the second half.
Is booing going to help anything? Is calling Briers, King, Monaghan all the names under the sun going to immediately change the season's fortunes? Not a jot.
If you don't like what you're watching, don't watch. If you have vast amounts of coaching experience, why not email a CV to the club and seek a place on the coaching staff, or ask for consideration should a position become available.
If, however, you simply can't handle a combination of beer and losing, please stay away from families and young 'uns. Many people often take little 'uns to matches, they're not going to want to come back to that sort of atmosphere, either, are they? In fact, stay away from the ground for a while, because, unfortunately, a shiny new ground and some financial backing does not instantly grant anyone 'big club' status, nor does it bring instant success. (see Manchester City.)'"
Absolutely belting post.

| This is terrible and for young children to get upset and not want to come to games anymore is not good. But in the same breath a lot of people save up and go in dept to watch Warrington week in week out. And on the last 7 performances people have had enough and are making their feelings known that they are not happy and i dont blame them. (For the record i don’t boo and never have).
People have to make their feelings known, in all walks of life. I don’t blame certain sections of fans for booing. The club have to know that the paying public aren’t happy with the muck they are serving up to the paying public week in week out.
PS
What was being chanted in the west stand?

Going off my experience ...
Who ate all the pies?
Who ate all the pizzapods?
Who ate the hot dogs? who ate the burgers?
Who ate all the fries.
Oh Harribo...is all there's left.
Oh Harribo...is all there's left.
It's only got harribos, tea and kenco.

| All adults in all areas of society have a responsibilty to act in a particular way when in the presence of children. When I had a season ticket in the East Stand, intially with my seven year old and then without after he decided he didn't want to go anymore, I was always aware of my surroundings and adjusted my language accordingly. (Occasionally the odd expletive would slip out, but would be immediately followed by an apology to those around me).
I find it disgusting that a child can be left feeling so upset or fearful that they don't wish to go anymore. Surely the club/stewards should take this sort of behavious, particularly in the East/Family Stand, very seriously indeed. Ignoring the moral issues, losing one child as a fan forever could cost the club thousands over the years in lost ticket and merchandise revenue. All the community awards in the world mean nothing if fans of any age, but in particular children, are too fearful to go to games.

| Im considering bringing my young son to his first game in the near future but hearing stuff like this is making me think twice.
Surely thats not right?
The only saving grace is that we are in the North Stand and its a bit more sedate in there, what with all the old folk.
If I do take him and hear any foul or abusive language then I will certainly put the culprits in their places.
Incidentally, what do all those hired 'gangsters' do for there money? Not alot from what ive seen. Instead of marshalling the crowd they just seem to lean against the nearest wall chatting to eachother or watching the game!

A couple of years back when we played Huddersfield at the end of the year, I had some nutter from Barrow stood next to me going absolutely apes'hit for the first half. The stewards removed him and rightly so, other than that, I've never seen somebody removed.

| Quote: Robbie Rotten "Different people have different ways to show their disappointment. I just leave early, I've never booed and never will, but I can accept it if other fans do it, they have their right and if it's deserved, then it's up to them. But anything more than booing is over the line.'"
I can never agree with booing - I can understand the shouting more, as this can be a knee-jerk reaction - where as booing isn't.
Saying that, If I thought that I was the kind of fan who is prone to losing there temper, without planning on doing so at the game - I wouldn't sit in the East stand, around the families - It's just bad manners to do so !!!

| I must congratulate one steward in that stand though who acted so quickly on one particular incident stopping what could have been a nasty incident. We were sat on the front row in the corner near to the South stand and my 9 yr old son with his 3 mates were sat immediately behind us. At half time, we stood up to stretch our legs and my son, put his feet up resting them on the back of my seat. Straight away a steward punced on him telling him to get his feet down immediately. Other people were doing this all around us, mainly adults not one word said. Just as one word not said for any of the abusive language. Oh and for teh East standers that always leave early, please do just that, leave. Don't walk down to the front of the stand as your going then stop and stand in front of the kids whilst you watch a bit if the match on your way out. We've paid for seats too.

You would be much better emailing Greg, rather than relying on him reading every post on here.

I agree but maybe not Greg. I emailed the club about the West Stand kiosk on Saturday and received a reply yesterday with an explanation, apology and restorative gesture today. First class response from Dave Hutchinson.
I suggest sending a polite email to info@warringtonwolves.com, identifying seat numbers/position etc and taking it from there.
