| Not at all, if you're looking at rugby in a one eyed teams only attack then yeah brilliant I'd put him in the team BUT here's the thing
v Wire ALL our points came on his wing
v Saints ALL their points came on.....yep you guessed it
It's a game of attack and defence and the Oz and Kiwi's will run through him like he isn't there and any good work we do in attack will be negated by his woeful defence.
Laugh all you want mate because Wire will take a look at your right side and spend the full 80 bombing it, running at it, and passing to it.

Nice comeback, got to give you credit for covering your embarrassment with a figleaf.
But really, come on... have a look at the Wigan board. He gets loads of votes in the MOM thread. The lad has some defensive frailties (though to be fair his centre is learning his trade, which must affect Charnley's defence) but Charnley is one of the few matchwinners in SL. He can score or set-up tries from literally anywhere on the park. He's on a great run of form and I just don't see how he cannot be in the England squad.

| I agree but the key words in that are "in SL"
I'm thinking England v Australia in which wingers/centres running at him are better than Foster and Meli and dare i say it better than King and Atkins
I'm not saying he's crap just nowhere near an England shirt.

| Morleys got to be in the team just for his presence. He might not be statistically the best prop around, but the Aussies ,espicially, are scared of him.

I agree, and i'd put Atkins + Myler in the same category (i.e. good in SL, not gonna cut it internationally)

| Another superb performance from Lockers yesterday. How can those who have missed him out of their England side on this thread claim to know anything about RL? You have embarrassed yourselves.

| I agree that anyone who leaves O'Loughlin and Sam Tomkins out of the starting XIII either know nothing about RL, or are incredibly biased.

if you switched us with you, and put penny in place of charnley, you lot would be crucifying him.

Agreed.
I mean, who else would you put at loose if you left O'Loughlin out? Sinfield is no longer could enough at international level and doesn't possess the same work rate that O'Loughlin has. O'Loughlin offers good defence, a good passing game and an ability to drive forward.
Me, personally, my forwards would be:
Graham
Roby
Morley
Westwood
Ellis
O'Loughlin

Ha ha was going to say its a bit lacking in pace, even compared to some of the awful backlines GB/England have fielded in the past.

| Morley hasn't performed great this season, plus factor in his age, plus factor in his current eyesight issues.
I would have Mossop or someone of similar ability instead, think it would be better for Morley health if he retired from the international scene..
