Football League fixtures are not announced until July 16th. Huddersfield play warm up matches on August 4th so they are unlikley to be playing in the league 3 days later. Possible the season start will be "delayed" a week because of the world cup. The Leeds forum is quoting sporting life. The other sites (Wolves, Leeds, Saints, BBC, Sky, RFL etc etc) all say we are sunday |

Speculation on the Leeds board coming from Sporting Life i think that we are being swapped to the Saturday game so Leeds v Saints can be played at the Galpharm on the Sunday just incase the football is on on the Saturday.....

The RFL are holding a Safeguarding conference on the 8th August for the NW CWO's and all of the attendees get a ticket to the game so I would imagine the game will be in the North West.
By trying to work out what venue has conferencing facilities large enough to accomodate the Safeguarding conference I would think Leigh Sports Village would be the obvious choice.
maybe the international game is a tester for them to see if they can handle a major event??????

Nice idea but they will announce the venues for the CC Semi before the international.
I hope it is in the NW.

Point taken Wires 71 but they could always change their mind if there were any significant problems or find out where the shortfalls are and correct them before our game.
Cant see them making the NW deligates go out of the North West for the conference and the venue has to be within a very small radius as conference usually ends less that an hour before KO
