Saw the match on Wiretv.
He had a decent game. Made some strong carries.
I hope it's just a rotation thing.
Joe is a bit of a later starter - you often forget he is 30 but he's just starting to establish himself.

Harrison's injured his knee. I don't know how long he'll be out.
Bullock's injured his thumb. Will be out for 4-6 weeks.

| Didn't Ashton pick up a rib injury last week? Thewlis having taken a few knocks this could well be the week that Russell comes in for one of them.
With Dudson's hand injury he must have received the all clear - in which case there should be no worries about playing him. I would have expected Philbin to have had a game or two in the reserves to ease him back in but probably no more risky to have him start from the bench than to do what we did against Salford where Powell put Whitehead on the bench and then didn't use him.

As mentioned above, Dudson won’t play.
https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/sp ... -injuries/
So I guess it’s Philbin on the bench for Bullock, only other potential change would be on the wing depending how Thewlis / Ashton have pulled up, but as Russell isn’t in the squad, probably Minikin to wing with Thomas coming on to the bench?
Dufty
Thewlis
Mata’utia
Ratchford
Ashton
Williams
Drinkwater
Vaughan
Clark
Mikaele
Nicholson
Currie
Kasiano
Walker
Philbin
Minikin
Whitehead
Not confident on this one, we’re stretched on numbers now in the middle and those playing have done big minutes, especially Vaughan & Clark. To think I thought we were a prop too many at the start of the year!

| Credit where credit is due, this team has exceeded expectations and could even be exceeding “best case scenario”. With 2 big, experienced players back in Dudson and Philbin to compliment the team from the first few rounds, you can’t really see this team losing. Williams and Drinkwater have displayed superb control and game management and the pack have done their job.
Lots of improvements still, but it looks like I was wrong about Mr Fitzpatrick and Mr Powell.

We've got Catalan away before Wigan, he should be available for that game.

| Quote: Captain Hook "I’m sure last week Matt Davis started at hooker, was Ipanema coming back from injury does anyone know?'"
Ipape got injured in the WC and didn't have much of a preseason as a result. He's getting closer to full fitness and played 60 mins against Sts(replaced Davis after the first quarter and played the rest of the game). He was still looking a bit rusty in attack but was phenomenal in defence including sitting Alex Walmsley on his backside multiple times.

Yes, I only saw it on WireTV. My comment wasn't really a criticism as mistakes are part of the game. They just stuck out because we had very few mistakes overall. I think he had two knock ons and a high shot penalty.

He got 7, we played 4, he’s left with 3 including Leigh.

| I’m a little concerned reading the article in the Warrington Guardian regarding James Harrison with him going to London on Tuesday to see the knee specialist. Read into it that the club can’t diagnose the problem locally and basically sent him to London for a consultation with a top specialist, maybe the surgeon who looked after him previously.
Really hope I’m proved wrong because of his early season form as I’ve previously quoted when he first signed Powell brought him to this club nearly 2 years ago to be the No 1 starting prop.
