The written article refers to The Saracens Head near Widerspool Causeway? Decent feature on Granada Reports too a definite air of positivity, I'm looking forward to next season.

| Very positive first impressions of both of them.
Hopefully a couple more first 17 ready additions and we should be ready. Looking forward to the 2018 season.

| I think I'd prefer them to Wayne Bennett ... he's a disgrace. Miserable beggar. I find it hard to believe that he suddenly comes alive in front of his players.

He namechecked various people in the club who he'd met - Briers, Clarke, Leuluai, then Brown, Ratch, Hill, Currie over in Aus.
Then continued to say he'd also met .... erm ..... met another couple of the guys before I came out.
It's not like he's got a problem with names. I've heard him talk about our Aussie signings in other interviews, so it's not like he doesn't know them.
Was he possibly about to mention someone new, then released and stopped himself short? Possibly another in the England camp, or Aussie based?'"
Hats exactly what I thought, nearly gave it away haha

| Great Interviews. Really excited for the new regime.
No mention on Pomeroy though? Admittedly, he probably performed well at the back end of last season against lower opposition, but I'd give him another year.

| He mentioned Pomeroy in another interview I heard, possibly Wire FM? Said he thought he did I well at the back end of the season but stopped short of saying we had or we're going to sign him - it seemed to me it remains a possibility.
Possibly Pomeroy looking about to see if he can get better terms elsewhere? Can't really blame him if that is the case, it's probably his last professional contract.

| Pomeroy wouldn't get in any of our rivals' sides so not sure why he would get in ours.

I took it to mean the guys in the non England squads, there are a few out there within those squads.

Because our rivals have better outside backs than us and more cover. We lack cover (and perhaps a little quality) in the backs and Pomeroy can cover centre a bed wings, plus he did well for us when he played. The big question for me is can he keep himself fit? No point having cover if it's not available when needed.
It's clear that either the club or Ben Pomeroy are considering other options or it would already be sorted, I'd have him as cover but not at the expense of a quality winger.

Wood Westwood?
Depth of cover is a good thing if he costs us next to nothing. Even though he'll generally be nowhere near the matchday 17 of a fully fit squad, he's pretty decent to have available as he can cover any of the outside back positions, and provide an element of competition for places.
Both are worth having if they understand their roles in the squad.

Our rivals have got plenty of players within their squads who we wouldn’t have near ours. He’d be back-up at best and on the right contract would be good value based upon his few appearances last season.

Westwood is good cover but Wood left us years ago.

I thought it didn't look right but couldn't put my finger on it.
Anyway I'd give Wood one more year as well, why not.
