| I think he will go straight in at 6 with Ratchford playing at 1.

| I think Myler and Patton potentially looks to be a very good HB pairing, I think you'd have been better off signing a centre than an average half.

Jesus wept. I wasn't trolling, I like Gidley, I think he's one of the most underrated players of his generation. But he's not a great half these days, for the reasons mentioned by the guy who has watched his entire career above.

| I think Kurt will struggle as SL is such a strong competition compared to the NRL. And to make matters worse, everyone will compare him with big Roy, our other Aussie signing. He not only settled in very quickly, but has been the stand out pack man and a firm favourite with the South Stand since day 1. It's going to be a long old year for him.

| It's a bit poor this............ this time next year he'll be getting ready for his 34th Birthday.
No matter How good a player he was and as impressive as his representative honours list is, this is a really ordinary signing ......I'm a bit stunned by it to be honest, and am hoping its not true.
Christ there was a Paul Gallen thread a while back and everyone to a man said no thanks not at that age.....that age was 35
I'm hoping he could turn out like Brett Hodgson.......but I think I'm grasping at straws...

| I suspect Simon Moran has a good relationship with Newcastle Knights. Things do add up though.
I couldn't make a connection last month when it came out Gidley was coming over here and we was out of the running for Tomkins, but it was there.
Perhaps he is to be our 1 with Ratchford at 6. It's good to have so many options.

| This is a suprise no doubt, however he has experience he has had some great moments, with him slotting into a young HB combo will boost us. We need someome who has been therebought the tshirt. he has it all and for me we can build on this, yes thr fans who want Cooper cronk will be miffed, but for me he has the expetience and gile to deliver when needed and with Patton upcoming and the likes of Currie etc, i shall be keeping my faith in trophies.
Do not write this guy off as a over the hill fast pay cheque.

| I see Leeds are going for Widdop.
Would he be a better signing for us?

| He will have to be on around £3.4k a week to match his current knights contract!

| If Myler is off then fair enough but would prefer us to persevere with what we have especially if we aren't bringing in someone at the top of their game or before their peak. 33 is a bit old, all it does is paper over a crack for a bit. I wonder what this means for GoB now.
Our spending balance mustn't be very much either.
