| I'm not going to pan the NHS i've experienced both good and very very bad service by them, but at the end of the day that was down to certain individuals.

| There are lots of people that care for people by volunteering for free. Now if you want me to have total respect for those I will gladly join in.
My sister is a nurse by the way. She can chat as well!
I'm just saying I've seen lots of
poor nursing in my time.
In this instance it is nice someone had a nice experience.
Maybe the fact someone felt the need to point it out on an internet forum backs up my point entirely.

| FFS why can't we have just one positive thread? Easiest thing in the world to knock somebody, and it is the best shield in the world. It prevents you from having to look at yourself in the mirror and realise what an insignificant twerp you are. Why, if someone wants to thank someone publically for what they perceive is above and beyond what is expected, do those of us who may have had a different experience, for whatever reason, object? Is it the belief that their experience means they know better? Or is it just because you are a c o c k?

| You said the staff at Warrington hospital are amazing on a thread about Warrington Hospital.
I just begged to differ.
Carry on with your personal insults on an internet forum if that's what floats your boat.
As for the thread being positive. I can reports that 2 members of staff were "disciplined" for their lack of professionalism.

| Chillax!
All I did was question what you do.
What do you do that gives you the right to criticise those that dedicate their lives to public service? Come on, tell me what it is that you have done that puts you in a position to judge those of an infinitely higher moral standing than you. Please.

| I could ask the same of you!
As for dedicating their lives to public service?
Its a job. A bit like the company employee that has "dedicated his life to the company"...
Please, for most that means they have had a settled job for life.
There are exceptional people in the NHS and have dealt with many of them but lets not have the BS of "dedication to public service" banded about. I'm starting to think you picture is morphing into Stalin.
By your implication everyone in the public sector is of a high moral standing

| But just to let you have the last word, I would like to apologise to the OP.
I accept it was wrong to hijack his personal thankyou note to the staff at the hospital.
Sorry Fatbelly.

| I’ve been on here long enough to know how a thread can become derailed. Some of the greatest comedic moments on RLfans emanate from things going a bit off tangent. I understand why mods allow this to happen, but surely this should be locked.
I’ve just read FB’s original post back, and am amazed at how disrespectful some of us are.

| Quote: Fatbelly "Some of you may have seen I am selling a Wembley ticket because a very close family member has been taken very seriously ill & is currently in Warrington Hospital. My family & I are lucky and although we are middle aged we have never been in hospital.
My family member has now been in Hospital about a week and will be in for a few more weeks and after that it may well just be Palliative Care , I am amazed and humbled at how hard the Nursing Staff and Care Assistants work & how dedicated and wonderfully they treat patients in their care. I am in awe of them and they do not get paid enough for the job they do.
Also a lot of the Nursing staff are Wires, last night I was talking to a Nurse on A1 and she goes to all the games on the Booze Bus with another Nurse.
To all the Nurses & Care Assistants at Warrington Hospital particularly those on A1 a massive RESPECT from me and my family.'"
Nice one! All joking and banter apart I agree 100%, thanks to all the angels in all the hospitals and places of sickness and care all over the country.

| The NHS, the concept and everything i'm very proud of, it sets us apart from the majority of the world and it's great, like in any job there are people who are exceptional at what they do, those people deserve everything positive that comes their way and THOSE people are something to be proud of.
Unfortunately though through personal experience they can also be arrogant and incompetent which is just a reflection of us humans rather than the profession itself.
Praise where and when it's due, if FB's experience is positive i find it only right that he praises them.

I spend a lot of time nowadays pin-balling around these sites giving and taking banter, it’s fun most of the time, but sometimes I wonder at how really nasty some folk can be. Like I have said I can give back what is dished out, but I think that some posts on this thread have given me some hope, that we are not alone! Not everyone is a mindless junky, and to celebrate those NICE people on this thread, and despite the opportunity given by last night’s game, there will be no more silly banter from me today. I will have a day off in thanks for the humanity shown by some Warrington stalwarts.
“Power to the people”
