| Quote: matty wire 75 "Im not bitter. Not in the slightest. Congratulations to wigan you were the most consistant team all year and deserved to win tonight. I wanted a wigan win over saints if im honest, not because of all the crap about us not beating them for so long, or because of some bitterness at losing the first playoff game to them. No i wanted a wigan win because i think that a shift in power is underway from Leeds/saints domination to a more unpredictable SL. Who would have thought (honestly.) that saints and leeds would reach both finals and be turned over so comfortably by teams that were alot hungrier for it. Maybe it's cause im currently on my 6th fosters that im saying this but here goes...................[sizeThank you Wigan.[/size'"

More to the point, why do you never play like Wigan did against us?

| Thats a good question. It all boils down to mental strength i reckon. Warrington have the ability, specially in the games this year with saints decimated through injuries but lack the belief that they can win. I think this showed more than anything in the playoff game when after dominating the first 10 mins and scoring twice we gave away a couple of cheap pens that started to crack our confidence untill eventually the doubts set in and caused panic for the remaining 70. Think once we get that elusive victory then that aspect will disappear for good. This is all my opinion by the way, i may be completly wrong.

| Before I start I'd like to state that Wigan are deserved GF winners. The most consistent team over 30 games. People can criticise how they play certain aspects of the game but you have to play smart and you have to push the bounderies of the game/rules.
Saints though !! I just thought that they looked as though they knew they weren't going to win. Going through the motions as such. You just have to look at the line speed of both teams. I know that they were without 1st choice HB's but it was pretty much the same team that took us apart a few weeks ago. Belief, that was the difference. I also thought that there were some lazy performances & plays. Too often the tacklers failed to get in marker positions, allowing Wigans dummy halfs to make easy yards. For me there were too many invisible or even poor (Soliola !!) performances from Saints.
Just my thoughts.

Stop trying to get us all to take the bait.
Look around, most of us are pleased Wigan won.

Yes but if Saints offered us a swap, Graham for any one of our front rowers, we would bite their hands off for him.

But Graham's got 3 CC winners 'gongs' (2 at Wembley, if the differentiation matters) and a SL ring.
Oh, and a Man Of Steel award.
I think THAT probably tells you how good he really is.

| Saints were shocking last night but even if they played well Wigan would have won still. Have to give credit to Fielden he had a great game yesterday along with the rest of the team. In the second half Graham hardly took a drive everytime he would get the ball run towards the defence and pass it back to Wilkin or Smith just before getting tackled. If you don't give away penalties and dont make handling errors near your own line saints struggle to score. Was my first grand final last night and the atmosphere is much better than at Wembley.
Wigan brought alot of fans last night i was in the west stand which im guessing was allocated to Saints since Wigan had the east and there was nearly as many Wigan fans in there. When Saints fans started to leave after 70 minutes you could just see loads of Wigan fans in there. Credit to Wigan they have been the best team all year and are worthy Winners.
