Times have changed ...no good living in the past and what past players did. imo you have to be the complete player these days, no good creating trys if you cannot defend them. I agree that if we have signed Myler, his defence needs alot of work..... |

Would be great to get sinfield and Myler although i am happy enough with Briers and Monaghan for the time being. I would not like to see SBW in a wire shirt no matter how good he could be, he doesn't sound like a nice person (however if against better judgement we do sign him i will cheer him on probably).
Not sure if SBW would be a wire target, seems to be a too bigger name and i am not sure if TS likes big names, for instance the latest england squad

No........ quite simply the best player in the world at the minute
playing state of origin and Test level, not a chance he will come here..
we may get named as being linked with him in order to arrange a better NRL contract for himself. Like Gasnier's camp did linking him with Wigan all the time.... and like Willie Mason does every time his contracts up by threatening to go to union.
be nice though....

I love how people assume that great attacking players of the past 'didn't tackle'. That myth gets said about Offiah who could always do a job in defence.

I don't think past great players cannot tackle. I just believe that defence is as important if not more so than attack. When signing a new half back, I would like to see someone strong in defence as well, as the usual, organisational skills, kicking game and distribution game required. |

One of the players has to be either Sonny Bill Williams or Mark Gasnier. The other one likely to be Shenton or Richie Myler. Tache is Back confirmed that a new centre is on the way, so I reckon Myler and Gasnier. |
