They did say 'crushingly average' at one point. Could have been Coley they were referring to - although, they would probably have used the word crap if they were.

| Mathers has always been a cheap-shot type player.
SKY making a big play on him wanting to check King was alright before he went off was pathetic. To me he knew what he had done, he knew he had hit him bad and was now crapping himself that he had caused a very serious injury.
Its time to see how serious the RFL are about stamping out dirty play and dealing with intentional foul play. Mathers' "tackle" was a deliberate attack to the head and deserves 8 matches minimum. If it was the NRL the games he would get would be in double figures.
As a comparison, and seeing that Mathers was being touted as a GB full-back prior to yesterdays "expose" of his limitations, how rock-solid was Reardon yesterday? Competition for places and losing your spot for sub-standard performances certainly appears to focus player's minds on producing the goods.

The way Coley was de-accelerating into tackles last night made Warren Stevens look like Martin Lang taking the ball up.

| Thought Reardon was excellent last night. Considering it was his second game back from quite a tasty injury, he has certainly hit the ground running.

Noticed that myself, seemed to have totally lost his bottle with regards to taking the ball up last night.

Took a while for him to get off the pitch, and also seemed to be trying to have an argument with one of the Wire players on his way out.
Still, Wigan had Mike Forshaw on the magic interchange bench, so they still seemed to have 13 men on the field.

Was it me or was the commentary by O'Connor, Stephenson and Clarke the most one-sided (pie-eyed?) commnetary they have ever heard on SKY? Even when Warrington were in total control of the game all they were talking about was Wigan. It was that bad Eddie Hemmings had to keep interrupting and standing up for Warrington.

I got that impression as well.
As for Mathers, always thought he was an egomaniac when I saw him warm up at Headingley a few years ago with a bandana on his head. Also, decided to warm up on Saturday with a red t shirt on, different to every other Wigan player on the pitch. The boy wants to stand out from the rest of them, well he certainly did that.
Coley, you've just got to laugh, and to think some on here said he'd be an improvement to what we had when Wigan snapped him up.
Feka, words fail me. Someone told me the reason why he has played so poorly was that he has got a rare and terminal condition, a flesh eating disease or summat. Been to the doctors and they told him he had only 132 years to live.

| Talking about Feka, theres a few wigan fans bemoaning the fact that he was sat on the bench for 40 mins during the game on saturday.
I'd like to point out(can't do it on their board as i'm banned aparently) that they're giving him waaaaaaaaaay too much credit.
He probably did around 22 mins in total, he got subbed at 12 minutes and i think came back on for 10 round 65-75 min mark.
Its in stark contrast that you realise how much rah has improved this year and how many more minutes we're getting from him. Definately the Paul Rauhihi that i was expecting to turn up in 2006.

| Spot on that, I was a massive critic of Rah's last season but he has been impressive the last couple of games and long may it continue.

To be honest though Feka and Hock were the only Wigan players I could see that were capable of breaking our line.

Hock; yes. Platypuss; no. For whatever reason Westwood wanted to smash him.
