Quote: morrisseyisawire "BMM hasn't been fit since the day he first signed and his performances have sufferred as a result.

We aren't short on backrowers - ship him out to Rochdale for a month because trying to play top level rugby whilst 70% doesn't do him, the team or us any favours.'"

The issue of his fitness since his arrival is the real question. I saw he was doing his own warm up before the match unless he was actually trying to push the posts over.
The fact that they only gave him 20 minutes at Rochdale was what gave me cause for concern when I saw he had been selected.

First 3 attacking kicks were "nothing kicks". Easily fielded and too far from attackers and too close to defenders. Didn't create an opportunity or pressured the defence. Only saying this as you asked. Solid display and should build his confidence.

Just replying to your question.

Price's reaction when Dec put that kick to Lineham into row D was very telling.

I don't think Kevin Brown's injury guarantees Dec a starting place indefintely, and Blake Austin also alluded to it when he said we have to finish sets better.

I think the critical view of Dec's performances on here is shared by Price as evidenced by his shunt to hooker - before too long it nay be Rochdale.

Regarding BMM I was concerned about him coming straight back into the side after an oo and only 20 mins of game time against Rochdale.

However, in the run up to Ward’s try he made a fantastic try saving tackle on Hurrell who was in full flight. I thought it was Atkins at first but was pleasantly surprised to find it was BMM, especially after he’d been on the field a while and was puffing.

it was game 1 and I think DP was carrying more nerves than anyone...and very fare not to dwell on his excitement of the opening quarter.
However I expect those mistakes to have vanished and his kicking game to be more clinical come Saturday...tbh I'm more than confident.

You may be right MIAW but Price strikes me as a fair person and one capable of forming a balanced view perhaps when he's reviewed the game on VT? I think that the only thing we can say for sure is that he's a different character to his predecessor when it comes to showing in game emotion.

I liked his reaction but don't necessarily see it signalling anyone's route to Rochdale anytime soon and the shunt to hooker we were in a different place squad wise last year

Quote: moving on... "He caught my eye and I watched him intently when he was on the field and when my mate asked me who my MOM was I said Jason Clark. I though we looked a lot more secure/composed/calm when he was in the middle with the lads. He's got a great engine and was willing to do the hard graft when we found ourselves coming out our own 20 or defending in our own 20. Very professional performance.'"

What game were you watching for Jason Clark to be your Man of the Match?

Thought he had a top game. made hard yards, hand was always up, good chase, good tackling, good support, good talk/communication. Thats my opinion.

I would ask you who's yours was but I honestly couldn't give a rats bottom.
