[quote="Wellsy13":1juz9zgo]To us REAL fans, there's no better feeling than winning competitions. Getting to a final is next. Then a top 6 finish or semi-final appearance. Then I suppose the derby counts as the most important league fixture.
Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really! [/quote:1juz9zgo]

And of course the Hull Daily Mail is the fount of all wisdom when it comes to salaries paid to players. If we were to believe the various 'inside knowledge' tips we've had on Wire's payroll, we'd be spending twice the salary cap. Funny how we seem to have stayed under it again according to the RFL.

| How will dwindling attendances and stalling hospitality/ sponsorship be budgeted for next season with relation to the salary cap?

Salary cap is a flat rate so dwindling anything won't affect our ability to spend if that's what you're alluding to. Not having the money might be an issue but I'm not concerned about that.
As an aside, there is also a possibility that no-one actually knows what Carvell is on although I appreciate most of our contract details are common knowledge.

And the official Wolves Website quotes the deal as three years, so we can already see the 'facts' getting questionable.

All I am giving you are the facts that I know, he had signed a 3 year £120K deal, he has been with us 8 years so was eligible for a testemonial in 2010, 3 years at £120K plus a testemonial (which averages about £100k) is £460K, so I'd imagine the £135 over the three years is not far off, his partner wanted a move away from Hull, his first choice was Saints but they would not pay a fee. Leeds and Bradford offered players in exchange but they were not of the calibre FC needed, so he has come to Warrington. He has played 9 games this season, 17 last season, he has ongoing injury problems, if you can keep him fit you will have a cracking front row, but it is a pretty big IF.

| £135k is nothing to us. Don't forget most of our big name signings are on at least £200k, some on more than £250k. According to all those smart alecs out there that "know" these things anyway. Of course all this means our salary cap is something like £3million a year, but we obviously have ways round that.
