Havent we posted a near £190K cummulative profit on the last 2 financial years, or were my eyes deceiving me.

| Quote: Paul Youane "Either would be great signings but I just can't see Lockyer either coming to GB yet (if ever) or being released by Brisbane.
I think Burrow signed a long term contract not long ago at Leeds but with a new coach coming in and Gary Hetherington being the only man ever to make money out of running a rugby league club he may be tempted by a big transfer fee. I would certainly be happy with Burrow.
What is clear is that the market is not awash with quality, let alone available, half-backs. I would therefore be tempted to blow the big money we will have spare on a bid for Buderus and look at a more "safe" vfm signing who could cover half-backs and other positions possibly, such as Matt Geyer.
If it is a half-back we are going to go for as an import then perhaps Sherwin or Gower may be available and are generally considered good NRL players.'"
Sherwin would be a good shout, strugggling to get in at the Dogggies at the moment with Roberts and Holdsworth playing well and Gower may well be looking elsewhere....does he have a British Passport.

| I think we're well wide of the mark with most of the names mentioned here.

is that more or less than the money Simon Moran has invested. In fact was that more or less than what he invested in the Gleeson transfer fee

It maybe a similar amount, Im not sure of the price in which he purchased the issued shares at, nor will we know as its not a plc, and im not saying the profit was distributed as dividends, just that the club has posted a reasonably significant profit for a sports club and he is a majority shareholder and of course retains his initial shareholding. Not that I am questioning your assessment.

Once again, name names Eddie. You claim to know something and now you claim we're wide of the mark. C'mon.
I'll throw a couple in -
Ben Jeffries.
Danny Orr.

He did. He's contracted until June 2010 I think.

Agreed
You guys are thinking of yourselves way too highly if you think Lockyer would want to come to Wire and not stay with Brissy
Just think on a smaller budget is all im saying guys
As for Longy, if you give us the right money..............

Do Saints still snatch your hands off if you offer them £5.50 and a few roof tiles?

Smaller budget ?
We've got more to spend on our half back slot than you've got on ground improvements for the next decade ace.

I know, the thought of an Australian test legend signing for us is just stupid...oh wait?

| I say you go for the cheap option and get Aaron Hemeroids from Leigh. Top little player, I'd like to see how he goes at Super League.
If I was a Warrington fan, I wouldn't have him, but it'd be interesting to see how he'd do from a neutral stand point.
I've not really though about who you should sign, but I think Berrigan would be a waste of money, regardless of how good he is. You're covered for the number 9 slot and I don't think the majority of the 'Johns money' should be spent on a centre.
