| Quote wirecation="wirecation"I would concur that it is between O'Neill & Walker. We seemed to be blessed with several decent British hookers in the last few years (Roby/McClorum/Clark/Houghton/McShane) but these are either retired or getting on a bit these days. Especially for England duties. I see there are a lot of SL teams where the hooker is completely anonymous and i couldn't even name them off the top of my head eg Hudds, Leeds.'"
O`Neil and Walker would be an ideal combination for selection in our International Team 17 man squad.
Very different types of hooker and would alter the game as they interchanged.
O`Neil with his big physique, could also cover playing 13 during the game too which would be a bonus.

huddersfield currently have adam milner as 9 who they signed from cas mid last year, who powell had converted to a 13 before he left.
He's crap
and off the bench they now have ash golding, a former fb playing impact hooker

| Think Clark moving on and Walker becoming the established 9 came at the right time. If I was asked now out of the 2 who would I want at 9 and knowing nothing I would choose Walker in a heartbeat. Right now he is better than Clark imo.

| It’s only a few weeks ago that a lot of people on here were criticising Walker and calling for Powell to be our first choice hooker!

I personally prefer Powell, his decision making is better and distribution

Powell deserves his place in the 17 man squad, but not the same threat to the opposition in attack, as Walker.

| Powell for me i don't even notice on the field to be honest when he's on. Had a few really good moments but that's it, Walker starting every day of the week over powell for me.

| Thing is, Powell has barely played 9 for us, so people calling for him, I don't know exactly what they've been seeing from him, when he's been playing first receiver at loose forward

I’ve die hard Saints fan pals who follow them home and away for over 40 years.
They absolutely love Clark.
He is not the reason Saints are clunky this season.
They put the finger at prop depth as I do.
Clark looks to be playing as good as he ever was at his best while at Wire. He’s just more effective when the pack is on top.
