If this is true i am seriously done with this club until things improve. Absolute shambles from top to bottom at the minute. We can all see where we need to strengthen, and we target a position that we have plenty of talent AND cover in?? Id act surprised, but i'm not.....

Dufty might seem like a strange signing because of Thewlis, but if you ignore that and assume one of them will play elsewhere like centre or on the wing (Charnley posting videos of himself made by his agency all over social media incidentally) he could be a good signing. The talent is definitely there with him, he has scored some sensational tries in the NRL and at times has looked unplayable. He's lost confidence and is playing in a terrible side, but if you threw Jai Field or Bevan French into the team instead of him they would do no better.

There is a good chance he comes over here and scores some worldies and Sky are hyping him up for Man of Steel. That is as likely with Dufty as him flopping like Austin did and being another player to add to the list of bad signings.

Yeah i'm not excited by the dufty signing at all to be honest. This screams to me that Ratchford is definately gone this seasons end. Just hoping he will come over and find his form and be a Ben Barber (without the problems) for us.

There is nowhere that Dufty can play that isn't already covered by established talent or academy prospects.

It doesn't really matter if he's a good player or not, he's not what we need. Especially when you consider we're in a salary-capped sport with a limit on overseas signings.

As I've said before. No promising youngster at our club should stay here, for the good of their career's. We CONTINUALLY throw good money at Australians or big name Brits, without giving our youth a (regular) chance, or them being dropped if they've not played like a young Ellery Hanley, in one game.
Saints' and Wigan's squads are littered with youth players they've given a chance to. We just get the chequebook out.
