The club is running at a loss, out of a money spinning trip to Wembley and 2 seasons of C19.
Are you suggesting we turn our club that is struggling on and off the field, into one of continuing battles because of a down turn in form this season?

Good on the club, however I won’t be taking up the offer, not because it many not be a good offer, or because as you angle, that they don’t deserve it, but simply because I can’t afford it.

I’d guess a lot of this sorta stuff is aimed at local businesses who’d treat staff for a night out rather than the normal week in week out fan?

If it's a free pool table then at least I could get my moneys worth out of that and not have to watch the game.

bit of a history lesson, back at our previous home, wilderspool there used to be a club under the main stand call the touchdown, where a lot of ppl went for a pre match pint and a catch up, then filtering into the game.

they never replicated that here, but were aware they were losing money to the local pubs so at some point (cos the beer in the ground is overpriced and terrible), i cant remember when they tried to change part of the east stand banqueting (prawn sandwich) area into something similar, but not the same, but at a cost.

They've tried a couple of different versions now, this being the latest one, i dont know if its because the east stand suite isn't getting the corporate numbers anymore and they're trying something different .

I like the concept, £1k per year / £40 upgrade per game is a little too steep for me though! I guess it might work as a one off special occasion sort of thing, or as mentioned when put through as business entertainment.

Always thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity not utilising the extra space in the NE corner when they did the extension for a fans bar, sure they could have rejigged the entry / exit points . I guess you need to make the investment pay though and when its only being used 14 times a year may be difficult.

I think at one point they discussed having a hotel in that NE corner too.

It as been renamed as the The Station House, it’s a carvery now.

The touchdown club was open most nights..it ran a darts and pool teams even tried a DJ for Sunday nights.

There's some stocks in Grappenhall near the church.

I wonder how much a game of pool costs these days - 50p the last time I played.

And of course in Lymm village centre obviously many Cheshire miscreants back in the day
