I had exactly the same thoughts about Clark, he certainly looked very active. It could be that he has had a really good pre-season or the cynic might think he has a fair bit more competition this year and wanted to catch the eye. Perhaps he is also thinking about staying another year ? He will be 32 in June and I guess he will not get a gig in Oz.

I think it's a bit unfair saying that picking Mamo is conservative it's important that we get off to a strong start so pick your best team there'll be plenty of time and opportunities for the squad to kick in.

Whilst he might be behind King and Inglis in the Centre, Ratchord and Ashton at FB and Lineham and Charnley out wide, he can play in all three positions. I thought he was quick but a bit 'flakey' (based on limited viewing) when at Huddersfield, but he did well last year and I enjoyed watching him, a bit of a character.

Fair enough. I think I meant he knows what he can get from Mamo whereas Wrench is very inexperienced and a bit of a moving feast. Yes, I think Mamo did well last year and his speed is a big advantage particularly in the last quarter. Price made it sound as though he had a really tough choice between the two but I suspect he had already made his mind up before the Leigh game as to who he would pick.

Based on last season I’m surprised he is still here.

No matter what he does, unless we have a major injury crisis, we won't see Sita playing this year.

I'm not sure about robson, I haven't seen anything other than steady. He looks very much like Jason Clark to me but I can't for sure say he has the same defensive attributes despite having the same limited attacking impact. Thewlis on the other ha d
comes in to the side when we have injuries and does brilliantly. He's a serious talent IMO but I feel robson has a long way to go to prove his credentials.

Don’t hang the lad out to dry yet .He come off the bench twice last year at prop, a position he hadn’t played. He started against salford and if you remember hit a line to go through to score but it was ruled forward . Last Friday Leigh attacked down Warringtons right edge and Warrington always went left to attack so if you don’t get any ball and defend all game what can he do.I think he will be a great player with more games under his belt . Doro , thewlis ,Robson, etc all need a run of games then it will prove if they are good enough .

The Warrington Guardian seem to have joined us in picking / predicting the likely team. They have been a bit more adventurous in going for Wrench at centre in preference to Mamo, and have Robson on the bench instead of Ashton. They also switched Clark and Philbin between the bench with Philbin starting.

Hope when Inglis does play his performances are better than on the Sky game. Sounded like he knew nothing about our comp. Looked like he had been introduced to the pies as well and I don't mean Wigan.
