Well I care about it. In incredibly difficult circumstances SL, the RFL and the clubs have managed to provide a meaningful competition with some great rugby played. They are giving their best shot at proving to Sky that the sport can attract viewers in numbers. Extending the play-offs will mean more matches that really matter, and fewer dead rubbers, which many posters on here doubted the value of previously. It is a long way from perfect, but they deserve praise, and I am grateful for having some RL to watch when I was lamenting the cancellation of the Kangaroo tour which would have been happening around now.

My thoughts exactly. I don't agree that this year's title will be somehow less valid. Obviously there have been a lot of unique difficulties this year, but ultimately, there have been qualifying rounds, there will be play-offs and there will be a champion, same as ever. Hopefully it will be Wire!

I think it's fair enough what they've done in expanding the playoffs, although I think it should have been 5 teams. Leeds v Catalans as a shootout to decide the last position whilst there was nobody else in contention to make top 4 and then run the playoffs as scheduled. Nevermind.

As I've said in a post before, let's just get on with it, it could have been us in top spot with a pies victory.
