For me , I smell a rat. Personally I would prefer to play all the matches, but I think other teams are using the covid card to their advantage. So I think we should follow their lead. Call off the difficult games, to avoid the potential slip up and play the potentially easier games to improve our percentages, just like certain other teams appear to be doing.

It would be interesting to know how the Covid testing is being done. Is it done independently, or is it done 'in-house' by clubs, with the results then reported without any independent verification? You would hope, for the sake of integrity, that it was the former, but then again, this is rugby league.

Screen4 are the preferred testing partner for SL clubs, so it is an independent organisation - so it says at the bottom of the COVID updates on the Superleague website at any rate.

I suspect that Screen4 will test the swabs sent to them for testing only.

The swabs will be taken by a club member, and then sent to Screen4 for analysis.

Hence swabs could easily be contaminated with CoVid 19 deliberately by a club, if it chose to............

Well........... If I was in charge of Les Cats I would be thinking that I had a pretty good chance of making the top four play off. So,I would go ahead with the Wire game unless I had a silly number of withdrawals, and then aim to pick off just two more games to make the 15 required.

I don't know where we would stand, whether or not we could refuse to play because we might be putting our players at risk ? I guess that could be countered by having the whole Cats squad re-tested on the Monday morning.
