I bet they weren't interested at all in George burgess until he got done for eye gouging when he suddenly became a match for Wigan, up until that point they were too busy desperately trying to sign folau. Smithies seems to learn fast from his peers too. He's a good player but a grub of the highest order.

Austin munched him the next tackle aswell, comes across and absolute bell smithies and deserves a few match ban no place for eye gouges/rakes in the game. Wouldn’t shock me if hill got a game or two. Silly as we were marching up field before he went off.

Price must take the arm band off Hill, he is a complete liability at present which is no change from last season.

Sorry but don't see the huge up in arms. It was a dead cert try and all Hill could to do to prevent that was to smash him. He waits until the ball hits the player and then tries to belt him and knock the ball loose. He does, but connected with the head, not malicious at all. I think if Hill hits the shoulders then Powell not expecting the hit would have lost the ball anyway. It was the right play and just wrong execution.

Aside from that he was having a really good game bar the French try. Saw no reason IN THIS GAME to strip Hill of captain. Last few seasons though, sure.

Eye gouge

video doesn’t show Smithies hands anywhere near Austin’s face. Absolutely pathetic showing that from Austin, especially after the way he pushed Burgess over when he was getting back up (after being steam rolled by BMM). Needs to concentrate on rugby and not chasing the ref or that haircut.

Please show me a picture of an eye gouge and I’ll happily apologise.

I agree it was't an eye gouge, but Austin doesn't accuse him of that, it was just grab of his face - seen worse.
