You never predicted we'd sign Bosman?

I think so. I heard rumour of his possible departure following the Walker talks.
As for Patton...his future for me doesn't lie as a reserve 9 but as a 7.
Brown goes through periods of sickies. Plenty nuff for him to stake a claim.

I don't know, maybe it is, maybe we just wanted first pick instead of fighting for him as a free agent.
If he does have potential as a 7, that may be the answer to partnering Austin.

If Morgan Smith has to make way for Walker's arrival then that will be 3 juniors that the Wolves made far more substantial offers for in order to prise them away from the Rhinos scholarship system.
Morgan Smith was on £30k whilst still at school when the Wolves signed him,the other 2 that were also offered far more money but failed miserably were Brooke Broughton and Micky Learmonth
IMO you actually ruined Morgan Smith after you turned him into a 9 when he was an out and out Half Back.
I watched a lot of Morgan in his junior days and I was gutted when we lost him as he was a stand out player at 16 and had a great chance of making it at Leeds but he took the big money offered like the other 2 previously and none have actually made the grade despite the large outlay to get them

Happens to plenty of 16 year olds, I’ve known plenty who looked like world beaters at 16 and didn’t go very far professionally. I’m sure Warrington aren’t the only club tempting scholarship players from other clubs with more cash too.
That said, the youth system at Warrington obviously requires improvement, looks like the club agree with the arrival of the guy from Cas 12 months ago & Paul Anderson next year.

| Had a quick look at Trust in Widnes. Mostly sensible views of the kind we would have come up with when losing promising youngsters in the past. Still the decidedly odd post, one regretting than he's going to 'the filth', not seeming to understand that, on that analysis, Walker is 'filth' himself.

I actually have a degree of sympathy for Widnes these days on a "how close were we to going down the same slippery slope as them" basis.

| I think coaching can only go so far. There is nothing better for bringing on players than playing alongside better players ,as in an academy or full A team system ,where they can learn off seasoned professionals on the pitch in match situations.

| I think it’s more to do with when a new coach comes in and has different ideas on how he wants to play , some players just don’t fit into that. I hope they manage the squad better next year and give some youngsters a chance I.e. Wigan, saints so when the real big games come around the team is fresher
