| Quote Uncle Rico="Uncle Rico"I think the 6pm kick off is a perfect time for a game tbh as it allows a relaxed morning/afternoon in the build up whether that involves none RL family time or a leisurely lunch liquid or otherwise. As the evening draws in the atmosphere changes it's game on floodlights and fireworks all add to the drama IMO. at 8.00pm it's a decision to head home with your family, not too late for those with youngsters or a long journey or stay out and make a full day of it.
It is disappointing to hear of incidents and yes I did see the beer throwing (totally out of order and a waste of beer), but I also had plenty of craic with fellow Warringtonians, Wigan and Saints fans in Manchester on trams and also after the match at the Dockyard PH near the Lowry when you might have thought that the mood might have 'deteriorated' it was anything but.'"
Good atmosphere in the Dockyard before the game, in our section you could not take drinks up to the seats

| At least no one has tried to label them football fans this time, or claim that the people throwing bottles from the Wire end are not Warrington fans. Yes, they might be idiots but if they're there to watch us then others will rightly see them as Warrington fans.
Not a good image for the sport on its grand occasion, with an unusually high number of casual fans watching on TV. There will always be a small minority of nobheads in most clubs' support, we seem to have more than most. Thankfully the vast majority of supporters are well-behaved.

It's annoying and bloody embarressing. Some eejit lobbed a pint at the ref at saints when lineham scored his first.
It's only gong to end up affecting the club, they were quite ed off about it earlier this year as we were putting a world cup hosting bid in.

| The problem with this is always, yes but whose responsibility is it to sort it out?
What enforcement powers do Warrington Wolves have over Old Trafford? Should ticket sales be more tightly regulated - if you go to sit in the Warrington end in a big game, you have to go through a security clearance check process similar to if you wanted to work with kids or secure nuclear material...?

| Idiots for throwing bottles, no excuses for that. But so is Escare for clapping and goading the fans and trying to get a reaction which he got.

Is this what was going on in the tunnel? Couldnt see clearly from the The Sir Purple Nose stand - just a bit of a melee.

Yes, bottles were being thrown and Hill and Goodwin were telling the fans to stop it. All the Wigan players just ignored it and walked off but Escare started clapping and laughing, that's when Goodwin pushed him and that's when their was the scuffle near the tunnel.

| We had in front of us about 15 lads there not wearing colors who were celebrating every Wigan try like they had won the Euromillions. Turning around a sticking the V's up and purposely aiming it at certain Wire fans who they knew they would get a bite off.
This was in the Stretford end as well. I think its absolutely ridiculous to have mixed fans in the stands behind the sticks. It's asking for trouble. Magic weekend gets away with it because its a regular round, there's nothing riding on it mid-season. this is the only Super League game that matters all season, passions run high, especially for the supporters of the teams involved. If Denying tickets behind the sticks to neutrals and the like effects the attendance then it's time to move the game to a smaller venue. when we're successfully selling that venue out year on year look for a slightly bigger venue and do the same again.

Thanks. I had thought one of our players would have pinned Tomkins against wall for his filthy knee'ing. I can bet Mike Nic, Tamati, Morley et al would have.
