Didn’t get to see the pre-season games live but on the highlights Mitch Brown looked above average. Russell didn’t have the worst of games last week, I just hope he can cope with Brough’s grubber kicks to the corner. It’s a known weakness of Russell. On the other hand he does make some good yards from dummy half if he can catch Huddersfield cold.

I'm not surprised he's not being picked yet. The friendly games he played didn't exactly show off his skills. Very mediocre at best. When we get injuries he will get his chance to improve on last season.

Yes, Livett was the one I thought would shine pre-season knowing this was his chance to push for a permanent place in the team. Didn’t look ready against Widnes or Rochdale so can understand why price has gone with others ahead of him.

I'd be dropping Ratchford for brown not russell

Patton in for Roberts otherwise the same starting players for Hudds.

Roberts wasn’t bad considering it was his first hit out after surgery. What he needs is game time. He showed glimpses of what he can do once he’s fit and tuned in.

A pair of organised halves and a structured kicking game will see a dramatic improvement, until then "it will be what it will be"!!

We've played one game under the "new era". It was the first game of the season. Against the champions. No sense in chopping and changing things, dropping players for one average/bad game. That doesn't foster confidence in individuals, allow players to improve, and help build partnerships on the field.

Keeping things as they are for now is the right move.
