He was our best player for the first handful of games this season, looked like he was trying at least. Still if he doesn't want to be here then the club have done well to offload him.

Its an odd one.

A few years ago he was a bright young thing with an international future ahead of him.

Now at 27 he's happy to drop down a league with the hope of a swift return to SL in 2019 and a decent paycheck I guess.

Perhaps a change will return him to his best.

Good luck to him, he was great at the start of the season IMO. I'm glad we got cash for him anyway, I think it's a great signing for Toronto, I suppose we have no choice but to see it as more cap space available, although it's yet another player needed to come in.

I hope the club are more on top of the new coach and recruitment situation than they are letting on, the longer it drags on the slimmer the pickings and we end up paying money for Kevin Brown!

Hope Lineham is next for the chop. Maybe Toronto will pay for him too?

I honestly don't want any more gone until we actually have some replacements and signings, not even Russel, who I think we could improve on quite easily.

I posted a few years ago that Joe was a real socialite that loves to have a few too many beers to be a real top class player (whilst Westerman was still at Hull FC and some Rhinos fans were posting how good a signing that he would be for us) and I totally rejected the thought of him signing for us.

I work with guys that regularly frequent the hot spots of Cas Vegas and Ponte Carlo (Castleford and Pontefract) and they always say that Joe and Liam Watts can be seen having a few beers during their respective clubs beer curfew period

At 17 Joe could have been an absolute super star of the game and would probably have been in the NRL if he had the desire and application to go with his undoubted talent,the reason that he hasn't full filled his undoubted talent is solely down to Joe as only he knows the reasons why he hasn't been anything more than a good SL player

The £130,000 looks a great deal for the club as he only had one year left on his contract and could have left for nothing at the end of 2018

He was alright and we made 5k profit. More disappointed that Smith couldn't 'develop' him. If Smith had any say in signing him.
