| I can understand people not being comfortable with this thread.
My intention was to provoke debate without it getting personal about a player. (Maybe difficult to achieve on a forum).
Just thinking of Rodwell, I think iirc that he had a bad injury when he came to us and never really recovered. That affected his form tremendously.
I also think the team was in a bit of chaos around that time.
Either way he wasn't a stand-out for us.

| Without wanting to put words in anyone's mouth, I think the OP was talking about players we disliked for reasons other than them being poor on the field. Attitude, feigning injury, reneging on contracts, using the club to put themselves in the shop window etc.
Rodwell, for example. Yes, he was abject and lacking in any of the skills required at that level .... but, did I ever feel that he was giving less than 100%? No. Did I ever feel he was on a meal-ticket (in the way that Steve Roach, for example, a player of immense, proven ability clearly was)? No. Hence, I didn't dislike him - I actually felt sorry him, and us, being part of the crazy circus that was the Anderson-Plange era.

| Not too keen on Ashton Sims, mainly because he punched George Williams on the floor but also because he seems quite gobby (similar to LMS). I'd soon get over it if he played for Wigan of course. I never got the dislike for Briers to be honest, he was really talented and should have got GB caps. My favourite wire player is Hill, consistently the best prop in the league, crazy that he has only been playing in SL since 2012.

I think Wigan fans took it far to personally when Briers suggested that Wire fans go to the HJ to cheer on Catalan when you played them in the Challenge cup semi there a number of years ago . It was all very tongue in cheek and there was a bit of an overreaction IMO as he was doing a bit of promotion
He got the most hate from Leeds fans... They just hated him because they feared him..

| Regarding Rauhihi - I was at THE game v Leeds when the real Rauhihi turned up. (2nd season I think).
He was absolutely unplayable that day at the HJ, and almost destroyed them single handedly.
There were a couple of other games where he was good but far too often he played below his size and capability considering he was a feared NZ international before came to us.

| I think Rauhihi suffered from nobody backing up when he did make a break so nobody to pass to & who can forget the 30 yard try he scored at Salford. (It was the same match where Woody got his"50 yarder").

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but perhaps when he didn't turn up for his international team (Samoa) for the World Cup we should've realised all was not well?

| How does this make people uncomfortable? We've had some shockers.
Reardon was a low light, Vinny Anderson was a fine player, but I never warmed to him.
Ditto Kevin Penny and matty Blythe

| Not dislike because I don't know him personally....but he was the only player I can feel cheated by....Andy Currier!
I question his love of our club.
