| Despite not noticing any offsides at the play the ball ,it was refreshing to see Thaler actually blow for a couple of forward passes ,but how come the shoulder charge by Burns on JJB was not penalised. Otherwise a good cup tie mostly played in good spirit. 60 yard try by Peacock was amazing & what a ball player Cuthbertson is.

What on earth? How can you shoulder charge someone when you are horizontal with your arms in front of you, superman style? You are still permitted to use the shoulder, it would be nigh on impossible to tackle without it. Great hit.
Shame we lost, but sums us up. Very brave but ultimately second best to Leeds.

you need a sandow type half back instead of those 2 clowns you have playing there..wish we bought savilon off you lot,he was by far your best player when he came on..where was cunningham for after match interview other coaches that lose have the balls to be interviewed, instead they interview quincy who couldnt work out whether the best team had won...

| Some interesting comments near the end of the match re the old BBC2 Floodlit Competition & how David Attenborough had pushed the idea forward.
It would be good to get some regular coverage back on BBC even if only lower division clubs to get exposure of the game to the masses who don't have sky.

| Leeds will certainly be a tough challenge, if we get to the final tomorrow, from that showing.

(Although an Aussie), Cuthberton's parents and family are from Warrington. His folks and family are all Wire fans. Callum Watkins is Wire born and bread and until Leeds signed him, played for Latchford Albion throughout his to career. Savelio is also from Warrington and has played his rugby in Wire land up until he was signed by stains. His family still live in Woolston (by all accounts).

| Nice one RD. Hope all is well pal. Bloody stains fans again. I have to say though that I'm genuinely concerned that Peyroux will be the next unheard of player of the century, along with the rest of the stains backline. Walmsley, Roby and Masoe are class. The rest are genuinely shat. I've never wanted stains to win in any contest whatsoever, but today I wanted them to win because, if we get through tomorrow-utopia is beating stains and all those arrogant fans at Wembley. Never mind. They've been panned again by Leeds. The caravans won't be 'o dancing tonight.

Sorry for correcting but Watkins is from Manchester, grew up in Stretford and then Altrincham. He also didn't play for Latchford all his career.
I believe it's only Cuthbertson's dad who is from Warrington, but I think he's made the rest of the family fans

I was very sure Watkins played for Latchford Albion. The Cuthbertson thing- he was interviewed on either boots an all or the sl show and said his family were wire fans. I must check this out otherwise I'm going to look like a right old plonker

| What I meant was that he only played for Latchford for a short amount of time before signing with Leeds.

No shoulder charge there. Excellent tackle.

| Having no luck, but I remember in the Cuthbertson interview that he quipped about himself playing for Leeds and that (as you mentioned) his Dad was a Wire fan and words to the effect of 'his family (probs in general) support Warrington.
