I think I have a fair idea of the game JC but the Wheeler signing does perplex me. Given the choice of a player to sign to strengthen the squad the last thing I would have done is to sign another utility back.

I would have gone for a specialist scrum-half and another prop. But there you go.

Mark. I think it's potentially a shrewd signing at minimum risk. I also think that there's one more signing to come for 2015.

You got ridiculed for this a couple of weeks ago, but strangely enough I really do agree with you on it (and I don't agree with you on very much). I like the 7 to be the scrum half and the 13 to be at loose forward etc. I hate having a 19 at fullback and a 27 in the second row.
Reading an earlier post from you, my first beer was also a pint of milld, so that's at least 2 things we agree on.

Or just have 1 to 17 shirts and if you're picked to play SH you wear 7 and if the week later you play FB you wear 1, you know, like how the amateurs do it.

Im guessing it's solely marketing reasons for fixed squad numbers.

I'd love a change back to normal numbering as I think it helps the understanding of the game. If people want to buy a shirt with a number on it which links to a player why not just get a shirt with the players name on the back. So ... if I loved Westwood ... I buy a shirt with "Benny Westwood" on the back as opposed to "12". To all those who buy shirts please advise me here ... am I missing something??

Removing squad numbering takes away seniority, you earn the shirt and form will keep you in it.

I would much rather see Ratchford at fullback in 2015 but I wouldn't like to see Matty to face the embarrassment of being stripped of the no1 shirt for it either.

Hence drop the squad numbering.
