I agree, would have dragged him off after the third try when he shot out of the line to hammer Westwood again. But then he goes and pulls off a piece of magic for Meli's try so I guess Noble got it right.

Don't see what the fuss about, with Rangi Chase. A very over rated player, who is bigged up by the media. His poor World Cup reflected this. Am glad Wire didn't throw good money, at him to sign for us. I'd rather keep with what we've got, even thou is an untested half back pairing. I'd still say it looks a lot more solid than Chase and Smith.

We've only seen the pairing in two. I think judgments like this should be reserved for after half a season or a full season. It wouldn't be difficult for me to say your pairing looks shaky and wont amount to much, but I'd be a fool for doing so after only seeing them once. Pairings will grow and develop, they'll have good days and bad. Any pairing needs games under their belt before an honest take on them can be made.

Even with his couple of brain farts, Rangi was always a much bigger threat than any of your half backs. So to was Tim Smith. I can see him frustrating us this season though, one moment of madness followed by another of pure genius.
