Surprised you are going after slating the system over the past few weeks?

Some people are treating going to Old Trafford like it's an expedition to the North Pole.

It's only 12 miles away. You could walk it in 4 hours.

I went last year (Wigan fan) and the trains were a joke, now that the trains are going to be further loaded in a similar direction I don't see how things will be better.

Walking to and from a match takes me back to the days of the 70's. Two brothers who weren't the full shilling(sorry,slow learners) and were Wire fanatics who I used to see al over RL country went to watch the Wire at Hull. They missed the train back and decided to walk it home. I heard it took them three days.

Reading posts over the past few days you could be forgiven for thinking that you were required to produce a valid train ticket to enter the stadium!

I treat every game i go to as a day out same way as some people go to blackpool etc.

All this moaning about trains, plenty other ways to get there as someone as already stated its only 20 mins up the road why whine about standing up on the train.

Going from Bank Quay wont be an issue as WGN is on a different line they will go into victoria.

It is not about standing up on trains, as I would have been overjoyed to be able to have got on a train home, standing or otherwise. It was a shambles, and I got home around midnight. They did put an extra train on from Oxford Rd but some eejit pulled the communication cord which delayed that for what seemed forever. The police wouldn't allow the doors to be reopened while we waited, and the heat was stifling. After swearing never to go to OT again, I am going on a club coach. I've got to be there to see them win or lose.

Midnight? We got the train home last year and was home around nine-ish.
